Fire Brigade Tackle Blaze at KFC on King Street

Roads now reopened after being closed around lunchtime

Twenty fire fighters today attended a fire at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in King Street.

The blaze was quickly brought under control and there are no reports of any injuries.

The ventilation system from the kitchen was badly damaged.

King Street was closed for just over an hour and local bus routes were put on diversion but it has now reopened.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
