The Hammersmith branch of Savers, at 96 - 98 King Street could be on the brink of closure, after The Thackeray Estates, ownersof the premises at 96 - 98 King Street submitted a planning application for a a change of use of the ground floor from a shop to a restaurant and cafe.
The application site (“the site”) comprises a pair of two storey properties located on
the north side of King Street on the western corner with Cambridge Grove, comprising
a ground floor shop with office space over. The properties are linked at both levels.
Access to the upper floor is from a separate street level entrance off Cambridge
Grove. Similar mixed retail/commercial and residential properties adjoin in King
Street, residential properties are located to the rear in Cambridge Grove.
The site is not a listed building but is located within the King Street (East)
Conservation Area.
