Incident Closes Hammersmith Tube Station

Piccadilly line suspended after person hit by train

Emergency services are currently in attendance at Hammersmith tube station following reports of a person being hit by an eastbound Piccadilly line train at around 11.05 this morning.

There is no confirmation yet as to the nature of the incident or whether or not it involved a fatality.

The Piccadilly line was suspended between Acton Town and Hyde Park Corner. Minor delays were occurring on the rest of the line.

The District line is still operating but non-stopping at Hammersmith.

Local buses are accepting valid tickets on any reasonable route.
