Passion for Detail at the Hepsibah Gallery

Gill Shaw exhibits on Brackenbury Road

Whilst not a stranger to London galleries, Gill Shaw is delighted to be exhibiting for the first time at the Hepsibah Gallery, 112 Brackenbury Road, Hammersmith from 7th -13th December.

This exciting venue will host a captivating selection of these extremely intricate works of art.

Gill’s unique pictures are inspired by recurring images, textures and patterns, with the emphasis on interplay of light and shadow. Using an exceptional range of fabrics, paint, threads, leather, suede, beads and netting, she creates delicately balanced, microscopically detailed pictures, evoking and reflecting the complexities and sensual qualities of the natural world.

The artist said ‘I would like people to come and view my pictures from close up, to see how I am drawn to the fine details and patterns in nature, and how I interpret these mental images, balancing the variety of media that I use, to create pictures that reflect the world as I see it. They might be surprised’.

Everyone is welcome to visit and view Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; 10-7pm, Saturday 10-3pm and Sunday 12-4pm, and talk to the artist herself. Private View Thursday 7 December 6.30-9pm
