Bonfire Night Will Go with a Bang

Two firework displays planned for Guy Fawkes Night

Get your toffee apples and wrap up warm, two firework displays are coming up in Hammersmith and Fulham on Bonfire Night.

This year, the displays take place on Friday 2 November at Bishops Park, Fulham, and on Saturday 3 November at Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith.

The gates open for both events at 6.30pm, with children's fireworks taking place at 7.15pm. Ravenscourt Park also has a bonfire, which will be lit at 7.30pm, and both events will climax at 8.00pm, with fantastic fireworks displays.

Cllr Paul Bristow, cabinet member for residents' services, said, "It's always a great night out in the borough, whether you go to the Fulham or Hammersmith displays. These events attract plenty of families and residents looking for a good time. It is an opportunity for the whole community to come together and enjoy a wonderful display in two of our finest parks."

Make sure you get to the parks before 8.00pm, as there will be no admittance after the displays start. There will also be no admittance to any vendors, and it is prohibited to bring your own fireworks, sparklers, alcohol or dogs. At both displays there will be food and drinks stalls and a funfair, so make it a date and be prepared to be wowed!

Tickets can be purchased on the gate for £5 (under fives go free), or you can book in advance for £4 by phoning 08700 500 511, visiting www.lyric.co.uk, or buying direct from the Lyric box office, Lyric Square, King Street - open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6.00pm.

Viewing for people with disabilities should be gained via the Craven Cottage Gate in Stevenage Road for Bishops Park, and in the road called Ravenscourt Park, opposite Ravenscourt Park Hospital, for Ravenscourt Park. The funfair rides at Bishops Park are suitable for younger children only.
