Brackenbury Village residents are being invited to gather for their association’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday 17 September, an evening that promises both the formal business of the year and the chance to meet neighbours in one of Hammersmith’s newest civic spaces. The AGM offers members an opportunity to hear how the association has fared over the past twelve months, raise local concerns, meet the committee and enjoy informal drinks afterwards, all while exploring parts of the recently opened Civic Campus on King Street.

This year’s meeting will also feature Councillor Stephen Cowan, Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council, who will give a talk and take questions on issues affecting members. Parking, long a point of discussion among residents, is expected to be one of the topics raised during the Q&A.

Sign‑in begins at 6.30pm, with the meeting starting at 7pm in the Mayor’s Foyer on the second floor of the Civic Campus. Attendees should enter via Civic Avenue at the Civil Ceremonies entrance beside the A4 underpass, where security staff will be on hand to direct people and a lift is available for those who need it. After the formal proceedings conclude, neighbours are encouraged to stay for drinks and conversation.

The agenda includes the chairman’s welcome, reports from the committee, updates on membership, planning, events, crime and streetscene, and dates for the diary. Members will be asked to approve the minutes from 2025 and hear the treasurer’s report, followed by the appointment of an independent examiner and the election of both the treasurer and committee members. Any vacancies will be noted, and the results of this year’s member survey and media update will be shared. Councillor Cowan’s talk and Q&A will follow, before the meeting closes and refreshments are served.

Ahead of the AGM, members are encouraged to read the 2025–26 accounts and the minutes from last year, both of which will be presented for approval. All members and neighbours are welcome to attend, making the evening not only a chance to participate in the association’s governance but also an opportunity to strengthen community ties in a relaxed setting.
