Brook Green will serve up a full day of free, family-friendly tennis on Sunday 7 June, as the LTA, the Queen’s Club Foundation and CourtFit come together for a Community Park Tennis Open Day designed to welcome players of all ages and abilities.

Running from 9am to 4pm, the event transforms the Brook Green Tennis Courts into an open, inclusive space where anyone can pick up a racket — no experience, equipment or membership required. All sessions are free, and rackets are provided, making it an easy, low-pressure way to try the sport or return to it after a break.

From 9am to 2pm, visitors can join a rolling programme of beginner sessions, family activities, inclusive tennis and relaxed social play. Coaches will be on hand to guide newcomers, while regular players can enjoy a friendly hit-about in a welcoming community setting. Attendees will also have the chance to receive free tickets to the HSBC Championships Opened Up fan event taking place later that afternoon at the nearby Queen’s Club.

The afternoon shifts into a more playful competitive spirit with the Family Cup Competition from 2pm to 4pm, pairing under-9s with an adult for light-hearted doubles matches against other families. It’s designed to be fun rather than formal — a chance for children and grown-ups to team up, cheer each other on and enjoy the game together.

Advance sign-up is encouraged for on-court sessions.

Brook Green Tennis Courts are at W6 7PB.
