Metrowords 2007 programme of events
The world of words has come to Hammersmith & Fulham as London's largest literature festival, spanning six boroughs, arrives at local libraries.
Metrowords features talks and readings by authors and poets, writers' groups as well as workshops with advice on producing and publishing your work. The festival is taking place in Shepherd's Bush Library and Fulham Library until 30 May, offering residents the chance to develop their own written work.
Cllr Antony Lillis, cabinet member for community services, said, "Metrowords is a great way to celebrate local, national and international talent as well as develop the confidence and creative potential of local aspiring writers and literature lovers."

Nuts and Bolts of Producing Live Literature events.
Melanie Abrahams is a literature producer and curator. She founded the literature agency Renaissance One in 1999 to raise the profile of poets and novelists in the UK. She will discuss the role of the producer for those wishing to work in this area.

North American (USA & Canada) Poets and Poems.
Do you like poetry? Do you enjoy reading it aloud or hearing others read it?
Then the Hammersmith & Fulham Poetry Enjoyment Group is for you. The group is led by professional poetry performer Lance Pierson. The group meets once a month for people to bring a favourite poem or two to read, or just to come along to listen and enjoy. It is not a creative writing group for sharing our own poetry; all poems that we read must be by published poets.
