Last for One Performing at the Riverside Studios

Korean break dancing group Last for One are to make a one off performance at the Riverside Studios later this month.

The group were formed in 1997 and came to prominence after winning the 2005 Battle of the Year in Germany, an international break dancing tournament. Their fans refer to them as the “Dancing Taeguk warriors” and like many contemporary Korean acts they are popular across Asia. This is their first time in the UK.

Hip Hop has been popular in Korea since the late nineties. Unlike its American counterpart it tends not to interlink with the drugs and guns culture.

Min Kim, Project Coordinator of Last for One said, "This new adopted culture has demolished a big communication barrier between the old and new generation and more importantly it has a cultural context to promote young and dynamic Korea which otherwise you may not have thought existed. It is important to challenge the British perception of Korean culture and learn more about Korea."

The show takes place on Saturday March 17th a 4pm and 8pm and tickets cost £15 or £12 for concessions.
