Brendan Behan is Ireland's least understood son - infamous as poet and writer, the world’s first media star and a working class hero who put the great debates of the day into the mouths of ordinary people. This new anarchic play by Behan’s niece Janet, starring BAFTA nominee Adrian Dunbar uncovers the final days of Brendan Behan’s stay at Chelsea Hotel, New York.

Written and performed by Eugenio de’ Giorgi. Directed by Massimo Navone
Verbal humour and dramatic changes of character are the driving force in this one-man drama set in the ghetto of 16th Century Venice. Eugenio de’Giorgi, playing the part of court jester, takes the audience on a journey through diverse adventures – some sad, some comic, some grotesque. This improvised performance embraces two themes of huge social and historical importance in Venice: the irony typical of the Commedia dell’Arte, and Yiddish humour.

What about a dinner with... Giuseppe Patroni Griffi

Based on texts by and dedicated to Giuseppe Patroni Griffi starring Sara Ricci and Lara Sansone. This journey through the theatre of Griffi is a moving tribute to a recently deceased beacon of Italian theatre by his muse, the actor Leopoldo Mastelloni. An oneiric voyage through literature, dramaturgy, poetry, theatricality and the artistic uniqueness of an ingenious Italian artist that knew no bounds. A homage to a teacher and companion in adventure and artistic representation.

This play is Francesco Suriano’s last chapter in the trilogy of Roccu with Calabria at the centre of this investigation. Individual stories are related to the history of 20th century Italy, emphasising political, social, and cultural conditions. In L’Arrobbafuma the author communicates, how a region like Calabria has been left so far behind the rest of Western Europe.

A new musical comedy for children by Stephen Sharkey (words) and Alex Silverman (music) inspired by Aristophanes’ The Birds. Swift and McFly want to live with the Birds in Cloudcuckooland, but the Birds are furious with the human race for destroying their habitat. How much damage can their strategic pooing do to mankind?! Recommended for 8 – 11 year olds and for bigger kids at heart!
