Farmers market moves to Lyric Square

Lyric Square is now home to Hammersmith's weekly farmers market following its relocation from the town hall this month.

To celebrate its smooth transition to its new home, the council has organised a small launch event for Thursday 22 September, with musicians and stilt walkers adding to the market's vibrant atmosphere.

Fresh bread, organic vegetables and Moroccan cuisine are just some of the culinary delights in store for visitors to the charming market which takes place between 10am and 4pm every Thursday.

Councillor Michael Cartwright, cabinet member for the environment, said: "When we decided to transform Lyric Square into the attractive and unique open space that it is today, one of our main aims was to encourage community activities on the square. The farmers market is a perfect example of this - an attractive and vibrant event that blends in with the surroundings, and offers a wide variety of produce to everyone in Hammersmith."
