Roadworks in the Hammersmith Area

Where to expect traffic delays in the days ahead

This weekend, the Hammersmith Flyover will be fully closed westbound overnight with a single lane closure during the day. This is to allow for maintenance work to rectify some defective waterproofing.

The flyover will be fully closed westbound from 22:30 until 06:00 each night from Friday 12 until Monday 15 August when it will reopen at 05:00. A single westbound lane will be closed Saturday and Sunday from 06:00 until 22:30.

There is a back-up weekend planned for Friday 19 to Monday 22 August with the same closure times, should any unforeseen issues arise.

Delays may be expected through Hammersmith, including the A315 Hammersmith Road and the A3220 around Earls Court and Shepherd’s Bush. Drivers are advised to use the A40 Western Avenue instead of the A4 Great West Road, when travelling from central London to the west.
