On Tuesday 19th April 2005, at 3.00pm, media are invited to join Hammersmith & Fulham Conservative Candidate, Greg Hands, on the jetty at Hurlingham Dock (the bottom of Broomhouse Lane, at the junction with Carnwath Road), where he pledged to always put Hammersmith & Fulham first if elected to the House of Commons.
Greg said: “I am making a very clear and unambiguous pledge to people in Hammersmith & Fulham. If elected, I will always put Hammersmith & Fulham first.
“If, after 5th May, I am the Member of Parliament I will continue, as I have done for the past 15 years, to live in Hammersmith & Fulham. I will continue to hold regular surgeries, where any Hammersmith & Fulham resident can come to me for help or advice. I will continue to use all the same local public services as everybody else. After all, Westminster is just a short distance down the river!”
