25% increase for houses around Brook Green, according to Land Registry

But Land Registry latest figures for the period between January and March 2003 reveal a more detailed picture of the house market in Hammersmith. Compared with the same period last
year, the overall prices for the areas around Brook Green and
Olympia (W6 7) are up. There, house prices went from £232,000
in the first trimester of 2002 to 290,000 in the same period this
year, an increase of 25%. Flats and maisonettes are greatly up.
Around Hammersmith Broadway (W6
0) house prices remained nearly unchanged compared with last year,
despite the fluctuations between semesters. But compared with
the last three months of 2002, prices increased from £308,000
back to £360,000 as it was a year ago. Here, terraced houses
pushed prices up.
The areas comprised by W6 8 and W6 9 postcodes have suffered devaluation. In the first three months of 2002 house prices in W6 9 area were of £353,000 falling to £333,000 this year.
