Hammersmith & Fulham Conservative
Parliamentary Spokesman, Cllr Greg Hands has hit out at the
Labour Council this week regarding the high cost to the taxpayer
of advertising campaigns that become invisible as soon as they
go on display.
Greg explained: "The Labour Council seem very good at producing
very expensive glossy posters, but are failing miserably when
it comes to displaying them - essentially putting the whole
exercise to waste.
"All around the Borough the council has poster display
boards that have become vandalised and broken over the years,
to the point that you cannot actually see through the glass
fronts anymore.
This is a ridiculous waste of our money - but one that is symbolic
of this Labour Council."
Cllr Hands has recently inspected the site of one of the worst
offenders: the hoarding outside Robert Owen House on Fulham
Palace Road.
Greg has added: "Not only is the glass in front of the
posters damaged - but the whole thing just looks disgusting.
These boards are portraying Hammersmith & Fulham in an appalling
light and there is simply no excuse for it."
