Location: Humbolt Road, W6
Victim is an 82-year-old female who was at home when two men came to the door posing as being from the Water Utilities. They claimed they were turning the water of for the street until 6pm. The victim asked for ID and they did not produce any but managed to talk their way into the victim's home anyway. The victim showed them the stopcock in the hallway
but they said they needed the cupboard under the sink cleared. After they had left the victim noticed that the bedding had been disturbed in her bedroom. Nothing appears to have been taken. Suspects described as two white males aged 25 and 35 years old, both with short black hair.

Incident: Attempted Burglary Artifice
Date & Time: 09/12/03 7.10am
Location: Cardcross Road, W6
Victim is a 69-year-old female who had a knock on the door; she did not open it but asked through the door who was there. The person replied that she was from the council and was there to assess if she needed more home help. The victim asked what her name was and was told Maria. The
victim asked to see her ID and the suspect said she would get it from the car. The victim asked again what the suspects name was and she was told Sarah. The victim threatened to call the home help with which the suspect left.
The victim did not see the suspect at any time. No entry was gained and therefore nothing taken. Good sense shown by the victim prevented her becoming a victim of a more serious crime. Any witnesses or information to PC Dave Blay Hammersmith Burglary Squad

Incident: Residential Burglary

Victim is a 76-year-old man who was lying in bed when he was woken by two white women aged about 20 in his bedroom. He got up but was pushed back onto the bed by one of the suspects. They took his money and post office book and made off with £150.

Incident: Residential Burglary
Date & Time: 09/12/03 8.20am
Location: Dalling Road, W6

Victim is a 91-year-old female who was waiting for a dial a ride to take her to a hospital appointment when there was a knock on the door. Thinking it was the driver she let the female suspect in. The suspect the barged past her and took a bag containing house keys and medical
notes. She rifled through this discarding some items. She then rifled through the victims drawers and took other property before making off from the scene.
The victim was left in a distressed state. The value of the property is not known. Suspect described as a white female aged about 43 years old 5'5" tall with brown collar length hair. She was wearing dark clothing, a dark close fitting hat and a dark brown long coat.

Incident: Residential Burglary

Location: Brook Green, W6
Victim is a 76-year-old female who was in her flat watching T.V. and later went into her bedroom to discover that she had been burgled. The room was in disarray with items strewn about the room. Entry appears to have been through an open window. A quantity of jewellery had been stolen along with a camcorder and a quantity of wrapped Christmas
presents. Total value £1600.

Incident: Robbery

Location: Kimbell Gardens, SW6

Victim is a 37-year-old male who was making his way home from work when he was set upon by two males who had just got off a moped. He was hit over the head and on the right hand and left elbow with a set of num chuckers. The suspect's grabbed two laptop computers the victim was carrying, and made off on a black moped. The victim was not seriously injured as a result of the attack. Value of property taken £6150.
Suspects described as a black male aged about 20 5'10" wearing a black puffa jacket, balaclava with two eye holes, black full face crash helmet with red and blue markings, and a white male aged about 20 5'10" tall wearing a black jacket, black full face crash helmet with clear visor and carrying a set of mahogany handle num chuckers.

Incident: Attempted Robbery
Date & Time: 10/12/03 7.15 pm
Location: St Maur Road, SW6
Victim is a 63-year-old female who walking along and entered the alleyway on route to the tube station when a suspect tried to grab her handbag. The victim refused to let go and began screaming. They both continued to pull at the bag and eventually the victim was pulled to the
ground. A member of the public then came to the victim's assistance and yelled at the suspect to let go of the victim. The suspect ran off towards Whittingstall Road.
Suspect is described as a black male aged about 25 years 5'10" tall with
short dark brown hair, stocky build.

Incident: 4 x Residential Burglaries
Date & Time: Between 01/12/03 and 02/12/03 8pm - 4am
Location: Parsons Green Area
Victims range from 25-40 years old. All burgled overnight whereby the stained glass windows in or near the front door have been removed in order to effect entry. Varying amounts of property taken. All occurred in a small area around Parsons Green, Fulham, SW6. In one of them the householder disturbed the suspect in his front room and was chased from the house by the victim.
Suspect described as a white male aged about 20 years 5'10" tall with short brown hair.

Incident: Robbery of the person
Date & Time: 04/12/03 11.20pm
Location: Watermeadow Lane, Fulham, SW6
Victim is a 47 year old male who was walking home talking to his girlfriend on his mobile phone when he saw two males attacked him from the rear grabbing him round the neck and punching him in the face and stomach. He fell to the ground and was then kicked in the ribs and punched a further 3 or 4 times. They made off with his mobile phone. He sustained minor injuries consisting of slight swelling to hi top lip and
two small grazes on his hands. Value of property taken £150.
Both suspects are described as a black males aged about 17 years, 5'8"
tall, stocky build. One with dark brown wavy hair, wearing a navy blue
long sleeved top and dark bottoms, and the other wearing dark trousers
and a dark jumper.

Incident: Robbery of the person

Location: Dawes Road, Fulham, SW6
Victim was a 21-year-old female who had just alighted from a 251 bus in
Dawes Road close to the junction with North End Road when she was
attacked from behind and her handbag grabbed. She did not let go and the
suspect began struggling with her. She screamed out but no one came to
her assistance. The suspect then scratched her face and she let go of
the bag the suspect made off down Burnthwaite Road. The victim sustained
no injuries as a result of the attack. Value of the goods taken £380.
Suspect described as a black male aged about 22 years. 6'3" tall wearing
a red cap and dark clothing.

Incident: Robbery - Carjacking
Date & Time: 07/12/03 5.20am
Location: Lime Grove, Shepherds Bush, W12
Victim is a 28-year-old male who was driving along in his white VW
Passat S724MFV. As he approached the junction with Uxbridge Road he was
stopped by two black males, who appeared as though they wanted to ask
him something. One opened the driver's door and tried to pull him out of
the vehicle. The second opened the passenger door and tried to assist
the first then began hitting the victim. The victim was pulled out of
the vehicle and the suspects then drove off in it. The victim flagged
down another motorist who attempted to follow the stolen vehicle. Value
of the vehicle taken £9000.
Suspects described as black, one wearing a dark woolly hat. Police would
like to speak to the motorist who stopped to assist this victim. Any

Location: Alexandra House, Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, W6
Victim is a 60-year-old female who returned home to see the suspect
walking away from the premises. She challenged him and he stated he had
knocked on her neighbour's door. She entered her premises and checked
her bedroom to find that the drawers had been searched and property
taken. A window at the rear of the premises had been broken to gain
entry. Value of property taken £160.
Suspect described as a white male aged about 35 years 5'3" tall, medium
build with short ginger hair. He was wearing brown trousers, a long
sleeved jumper with blue or pink stripes across the chest and brown
boots.

Victim is a 73 year old female who was at home when the suspect claiming
to be a neighbour who's garden backs onto her garden. He asked to come
through to check the fence. She though he wanted to replace it with a
higher one so gave him access. It was only after he had left that she
discovered her handbag had been taken. Total value of property £50.
Suspect described as a white male aged about 35 years. 5'6" tall with
collar length black hair, He was wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket.

Incident: Burglary Artifice
Date & Time: 01/12/03 1.45pm
Location: Star Road, Fulham, W14
Victim is an 85 year old man who was in bed recovering from 'flu when he
heard a knock at the door. He answered it and a man said he was from the
water-board and was fitting a sink to the flat downstairs. He said he
needed to turn off the mains and asked the victim to fill a bucket of
water, as it would need to be off for at least 24 hours. As he was
filling the bucket he saw the suspect going upstairs. He followed him
and saw another male in his bathroom. He challenged them and they ran
out of the flat. He later discovered that a watch valued at £150 had
been stolen.
Suspects are described as white males. One aged about 30 years 5'7" tall
with shirt dark brown hair, wearing a blue jumper with white horizontal
stripes across and dark trousers. The other about 35 years old 5'9"
wearing a dark jacket, dark working trousers, white trainers with blue
markings.

Incident: Burglary Artifice

Location: Cox House, Field Road, Hammersmith, W6
Victim was a 78-year-old female who was at home when she opened the door
to two men who said they were working on a bathroom in a flat
downstairs. They said the problem was being caused by sand in the pipes
and asked her to run the taps in her bathroom. She became suspicious and
declined. They then asked her for personal details which she also
declined. They left empty handed.
Suspects described as white male aged 30 years 5'10" wearing a black
jumper and black trousers, and a white male aged about 35 years 5'4"
wearing a black jumper and black trousers.

Incident: Murder
Date & Time: 28/11/03 8.40pm
Location: Thaxton Road, W14
Police were called to the above street re two men having been shot. Police discovered Gamal Fares George MALLWI a 44-year-old Egyptian businessman from SW10 and his brother Gnasser Mallwi aged 36 years from Cairo, both had suffered gun shot wounds. Apparently a suspect had approached them, as they were about to get into the elder man's car in Thaxton Road, junction with North End Road and discharged a number of shots hitting both victims. They were taken to hospital where Gamal died a short time after arrival. Gnasser remains in hospital in a stable condition. A post mortem took place and revealed that Gamal died from gunshot wounds to the stomach and chest. A date for the inquest is yet to be set. Police are remaining open-minded regarding a motive at this early stage.

Incident: Robbery Commercial Premises

Location: Sainsbury's, Townmead Road, SW6
Victim is a 29-year-old female, who was working on a till at the far end of the store. The suspect was at the till purchasing a pint of milk, he paid for the milk and as she opened the till to put his money in he pushed her down and away from the till, grabbing the money from within prior to running out of the store by the nearest exit. He then ran across the car park and disappeared into the darkness. He got away with £200 cash. Suspect is described as a white male about 33 years of age, 5'10" tall with short light brown hair and grey stubble. He was of slim build and was wearing a black hat or hood and a greyish jacket.

Location: White City Tube Station, Shepherds Bush, W12
Victim is a 24-year-old cab driver who was flagged down by a male and female who asked to be taken to Ruislip. When the driver explained that they had to book the cab via the cab office the man pulled out a black handgun from his pocket and pointed it a t him saying "Take us to
Ruislip or I will shoot you in the head". The terrified driver grabbed his keys from the ignition and ran across the road to the cab office. The suspect ran off. The suspect is described as a 19-year-old male 5'8" tall with short blond hair. He was wearing a cream hat grey top, dark jeans and Prada trainers.

Victim is an 85-year-old female who was expecting a district nurse to attend and when someone buzzed her door she answered and let them in assuming it was the nurse. The suspect told her to go to the kitchen and make her a cup of tea while she stayed in the lounge. While she was
making the tea the suspect said she had to get something out of her car and when she did not return the victim became suspicious, she later realised her handbag had gone from the chair in the lounge. Total value stolen £950. Suspect is described as a white female aged about 27 years old, 5'1" tall with brown curly hair medium build.

Incident: Theft from Fire Engine

Location: Clem Attlee Estate, SW6
Victim is the London Fire Brigade. Apparently the LFB were attending a call on the estate and were soon joined by crowds of local youths. At some point it appears that one of them has opened the cab door of one appliance and stolen the small handheld radio. None of the firemen
noticed the theft at the time but discovered the radio missing on returning to the cab.

Victim is a 60-year-old blind lady who was walking along the road when she felt someone tugging at her handbag, which was over her shoulder. The bag, which was quite old, broke at the handle and the suspect made off. The victim was unhurt. The value of the handbag and contents was

Victim is a 29-year-old female who was walking along the street with a shopping bag and a bag full of books also containing her handbag when she was surprised by two girls in company with a boy. They snatched her bag and made off into the park area in the estate. The victim was
unhurt. Value of the goods taken £157. The suspects are described as one black girl aged about 13 years 5'4" tall black collar length hair tied in a bun, she was wearing a pink
jacket and grey skintight trousers, fat build. A 14-year-old black girl 5'7" tall, proportionate build with black shoulder length hair and a long fringe and a black boy aged about 11 years 5'3" tall.

Incident: Theft of motor vehicle
Date & Time: 30/11/03 2.15pm
Location: Emlyn Gardens, W12
Victim is a 63-year-old man who was working on his VW Golf on his driveway when he was approached by two males who had been attempting to change the wheel on a blue Citroen nearby. The men said they like his car and asked for a closer look at it. The victim agreed thinking they might want to buy it but instead they got in it and drove off. The Citroen turned out to have been stolen from Mellitus Street, W12 earlier that morning. The missing car is a green Volkwagen Golf Hatchback registration D956LEP, valued at £1000. It has frontal damage as the result of a road traffic collision, which occurred previously and had
not yet been repaired. The suspects are described as a white male aged 20 5'8" with short black
hair, fat build and a white male also aged 20 years 5'4" also with short black hair, thin build.

There have been a couple of reports of high value motor vehicles being stolen from garage forecourts whilst the owners are inside the shop paying for petrol. We ask that people do not leave their vehicles unlocked whilst unattended no matter how briefly, and that they take the keys out of the vehicle when they leave it.

The following advert has come to the attention of police, having been placed in a local Jobcentre. This would appear to be a bogus advert: "will be working as an extra on a film, no previous experience needed. Duties are to perform as required and directed. Travel expenses and meals provided when working". Arranges to meet the applicants at a local hotel and applicants are expected to forward £20 per person for fees. The matter is currently under investigation.


Incident: Rape
Date & Time: 21/09/03 Between 8pm - 10.15pm
Location: St Dunstans Road, W6
Victim was a 16-year-old female who waiting at a bus stop when she
became aware that a male was paying unusual attention to her that made
her feel uncomfortable. There were others members of the public at the
bus stop but she still became scared when he started talking to her and
decided to walk home. As she neared Charing Cross Hospital the suspect
grabbed hold of her arm and dragged her along St Dunstans Road. He told
her he had a knife in his bag and he dragged her into a nearby corner,
held her up against a brick wall and raped her.
Suspect is described as a black male aged about 25 years. 5'9" tall,
thin build with black spiky afro hair. He had tattoos on both arms and
was wearing a dark blue denim sleeveless top and dark blue denim jeans,
dark shoes and was carrying a small dark coloured bag.

Incident: Robbery of Commercial Premises
Date & Time: 22/11/03 4.55pm
Location: WH Smith Hammersmith Broadway, W6
Suspect entered the store and held a Stanley knife to a female member of
staffs throat and demanded money from the till. The manager activated
the panic alarm and another member of staff responded and confronted the
suspect. The suspect then lunged at him with the knife and then made off
being chased by the second staff member. He was detained with the
assistance of a member of the public and was disarmed. Knife and cash to
the value of £100 was recovered. A 27 year old male, from the Hounslow
area has since been charged with robbery.

Incident: Suspicious male
Date & Time: 19/11/03 5pm
Location: North End Road, SW6
Two male victims aged 11 and 12 were followed along the road for a
period of about 30 minutes. They went into Blockbusters and the suspect
hid in Safeway. As they left Blockbusters the suspect appeared again
and continued following them. Eventually he approached them and said he
was lost. He then showed them a piece of paper with the words "You are
sex" written on it. The victims asked him why he had shown them the
paper and why was he following them. He denied following them and then
ran off north in North End Road.
Suspect described as a white male in his late 20s about 6'2" tall, slim
build with brown receding hair and large bulging eyes. He was wearing a
green jacket and blue jeans with black trainers.

Incident: Robbery of the person/Firearms Incident
Date & Time: 18/11/03 6pm
Location: Bulwer Street, W12
Victim is a 35 year old male who had just been to the bank and drawn
£300 from the cash point. He was returning home when he was tapped on
the shoulder by a white male. The man pushed a silver square shaped
handgun into his side and threatened to shoot the victim if he did not
empty his pockets. The victim handed over the £300 cash, his Tag Heurer
Watch and a Ted Baker ring. At this point a red Ford Cortina pulled
along side and the suspect joined two other males inside the car and
drove off. Property value £750.
The suspect is described as a white male 6'0" tall about 28 years old
stocky build with short dark brown hair. The two in the car were
described as a white male aged 28 years with blond curly hair and a
white female aged about 20 with blond hair which was tied back.

Incident: Serious assault
Date & Time: 22/11/03 4pm
Location: Goldhawk Road, W12
Victim is a 35-year-old male who was walking home from the pub with a
friend, when he challenged a pedal cyclist who was cycling on the
pavement. The suspect then attacked both of them with a garden parasol
from a nearby pub table. The manager of the pub intervened and the
victims walked off. A short time later the suspect cycled up to the
victim and thrust towards his leg. The victim was not aware anything was
wrong until he saw lots of blood coming from his trouser leg. He was
treated at New Charing Cross Hospital where he received two stitches for
the stab wound and a further two stitches for a head wound caused by
being struck with the parasol.
The suspect is described as a black male with light skin tone aged about
25 years. He was about 5'3" tall with short black afro hair, slim build
wearing an open necked shirt with a plain t shirt underneath, and a blue
hat.

Incident: Deception
Date & Time: 21/11/03 7.20pm
Location: Chesilton Road, SW6
Victim is a 32 year old male who was selling his Mercedes Benz when a
man came round stating he wanted to purchase the vehicle on behalf of
another man who had contacted him the week before. This man stated he
was a mechanic and wanted to check the vehicle out. The suspect paid for
the vehicle with a bankers draft for £20,000 and took the car. When the
victim presented the draft to the bank he was told it was a forgery. The
vehicle was circulated as stolen but a police check showed it as having
gone through an automatic number plate reader at Folkestone so there is
a good chance the vehicle is now out of the country.

Victim is a 32-year-old male who was walking along the road speaking on
his mobile phone when he was approached by a male who ran up to him,
punched him in the side of the head and stole his phone. Value of the
phone £150
Suspect described as an eastern European male about 30 years old 5'10"
tall medium to stocky build with short dark hair brown eyes and stubble
with a large nose. He was wearing white trainers, grey tracksuit
bottoms, a grey zip up hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and carrying a
blue rucksack.

Location: Robert Owen House, Fulham Palace Road, SW6
Victim is an 80-year-old male, who was at home when two men called round
claiming to be from the water board. The victim allowed them in and they
went into the bathroom. They talked to him at length about ball cocks
and other plumbing issues whilst running the bath. Whilst this was going
on one of the men left the bathroom and went round the house. After
about 20 minutes they left. The victim later discovered that £200 was
missing from a drawer in his sitting room.
The suspects are described as two white males both aged about 40 wearing
dark clothing and with Irish Accents.

Location: Lime Grove, W12
Victim is a 49 year old male who was walking down the street when he was
approached by a black male who said "Give me your money" He then punched
the victim more than once to the floor and then kicked him. When he came
round he discovered his bankcard, £60 cash and keys had been taken. He
was treated at Charing Cross Hospital for sever swelling to his left eye
and cuts and bruising.
The suspect is described as a black male aged 20-25 years old 6'2" tall
medium build with black Afro hair.

Victim is an 86-year-old female. She was at home when a woman came to
her door and stated she was the home help. The victim thought she was
early, but let her in. The woman then told her to go into the bedroom
and get dressed while she made her some breakfast. Whilst the victim was
in the bathroom the woman left the premises taking the victims purse
from the table containing £130 cash.
Suspect is described as a white female aged about 35 years with blonde
collar length hair 5'2" tall of proportionate build.

Incident: Attempted Burglary
Date & Time: 15/11/03 2.25pm
Location: St Olafs Road, SW6
Victim is a 40-year-old female who was in her house when she heard a
loud noise from her spare room. She went in to her spare room to find
that the horizontal blinds were distorted and she heard a car screeching
away outside. A short time later she saw a red car pull up and the
occupant got out and came towards her building. He was in possession of
a piece of wood board. He jumped over the metal fence into the front
garden and put the board over the window. He was disturbed by the
occupant, who at that point tripped over something on the floor. He made
off in a red saloon motor vehicle. She made a note of the vehicle
registration. The vehicle had been stolen by means of a burglary in
Wandsworth. Window broken valued at £100.
Suspect described as a dark skinned European male aged about 30 years
5'11" tall wearing a dark bomber jacket, dark bottoms and black leather
gloves. He had black cropped hair, brown eyes and was clean shaven.

Victim is a 16 year old male, who was walking down the road with his
younger brother towards Harwood Road when they were approached by a male
on a pedal cycle. He male produced a butterfly knife with a three inch
blade and demanded his property threatening to stab him in front of his
brother if he refused to hand the property over. The male then reached
into the boy's pocket and removed a mobile phone before cycling off
towards Tyrawley Road. Value of the phone was about £100.
Suspect is described as a black male about 16 years old and about 5'7"
tall. He was proportionate in build with short hair and black eyes. He
had a dark complexion and a small moustache. His accent was deep and
gruff and he was wearing a grey hooded top with a zip on the front, grey
tracksuit bottoms and a black cap.

Police were flagged down by LFB who were responding to a smoke detector
sounding and attended to find that someone had pushed an air vent out of
the wall in a toilet, situated on the ground floor car park beneath a
block of flats. They had then forced burning paper into the toilet area
causing smoke damage. No one was injured. Total value of the damage £20.

Location: Hurlingham Gardens, SW6
Victim is a 53 year old male who was walking home from the tube station
at Putney Bridge when a scooter pulled up behind him and he saw two men
on it. One of them got off the scooter and ran towards him brandishing a
white stick. He held it above his head and shouted "Give me your bag or
I will hit you" The victim fearing for his safety threw the property at
the suspect who grabbed it and climbed back onto the scooter and rode
off. The victim was shaken but not injured. The property stolen was a
briefcase containing a wallet, credit cards, mobile phone and cash.
Total value £450.
Suspect described as a white male aged about 20 years 5'9" tall, thin
build wearing a dark leather jacket, light coloured trousers and a full
face helmet with blue and white stripes on it.

Victim is a 39 year old female who was walking back from visiting a
friend when two suspects approached her from behind. One asked her if
she had a light and when she said no the second suspect took her bag out
of her hand and removed her purse. The first suspect then took hold of
her wrist and removed her watch. They then ran off towards the Uxbridge
Road.
Value of property taken £110.
Suspect 1 described as a black male aged 23 years. 5'7" tall, black
curly hair, stocky build with a London accent, wearing beige hooded
jacket, dark jeans. Suspect 2 described as a black male aged 23 years
5'7" tall, slim build wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans and a baseball

Incident: Aggravated Burglary
Date & Time: 07/11/03 at 9.40pm
Location: Hudson Close, White City Estate, Shepherds Bush, W12
At the time of the offence four persons were on premises, all were of
Chinese origin and aged between 20-33. Apparently they were at home when
five suspects forced their way into the flat, one of them armed with a
knife. The victims were then tied up with rope by their feet and hands,
and tape was put over their mouths. The suspects systematically searched
each victim taken property from all of them. The victims were then
threatened with the knife to reveal their PIN numbers. Various other
items of property were stolen totalling £2700.
After a period of about 40 minutes one of the victims managed to get
free and released the others who all ran out of the flat to raise the
alarm.
The suspects are all described as four males and a female of Malaysian
type appearance aged 20-22 years old.

Incident: Criminal Damage by fire
Date & Time: Overnight 6/11/03 - 7/11/03
Location: Netherwood Road, W14
The victim returned to her property, which had been left unattended
overnight to find that an estate agents flyer had been set alight and
pushed under the door of their storeroom. Fortunately the paper had gone
out thus preventing serious damage, however there was a large quantity
of carrier bags containing clothing close by and this could easily have
caught fire and caused serious damage or endangerment of life.
There is no known motive for this crime, however police are treating the

Incident: Attempted Abduction

Location: Fairholme Road, at the junction with Vereker Road, W14
Victim was a 19-year-old female who was walking along the road when she
noticed an old style white Vauxhall Cavalier following slowly behind
her. It pulled up and she assumed that the driver was lost and wanted
directions. Without warning the driver opened the passenger door and
attempted to pull her inside. She struggled and the vehicle drove off
with her bag inside the vehicle.
The suspect is described a foreign male, possibly of Turkish origin. He
was aged about mid- 30s and had olive skin and a tidy goatee beard, he
was balding and at least 6' tall, he had a long hooked nose and was
wearing a black and white checked shirt and either blue or black
trousers.

The victim was a 36-year-old female who was walking to work when she was
approached by a suspect who attempted to engage her in conversation and
then grabbed her handbag. She resisted and was dragged to the ground.
The suspect then produced a large knife and threatened her with it. She
let go of her handbag fearing serious assault and the suspect ran off
into a nearby block of flats. The victim sustained minor injuries to her
left hand in the incident. A short while later a member of the public
saw a bag being thrown into a back garden. It was recovered minus her
mobile phone and cash. Total value of outstanding property £312.00
Five suspects were later arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

Incident: Criminal Damage (fireworks)
Date & Time: 05/11/03 8.50pm
Location: Pulton Place,SW6
This offence occurred opposite Fulham Police Station and due to the
noise officers were quickly on scene.
Apparently a male suspect had fired a "rocket" firework through a pipe
from waist height into Fulham Road. The rocket narrowly missed
pedestrians and traffic and ended up going straight through office
windows on the ground floor of a nearby office block in Fulham Road.
Five windows in all were smashed and glass sprayed out onto the road.
Value of property damaged is in the region of £2000.

Incident: Robbery of the person
Date & Time: 08/11/03 3am
Location: Crefeld Close, W6
Victims were two 17-year-old males who were walking along on route to a
party when they were approached by 3 suspects who asked them what they
were doing there and then went on to demand their phones. One was held
and punched while the other was hit over the head with a bottle. He
dropped his phone but managed to retrieve it. The bottle did not break
and the victims both managed to get away. One of the victims was
moderately injured with a one inch cut to the crown of his forehead and
discomfort to his left eye.
Suspect 1 is described as a black male aged about 16 years, 5'6" tall
wearing a grey long sleeved top and hood, with a full black moustache.
Suspect 2 is described as black male aged about 23 years 6' tall with a
small black beard. He was wearing a yellow leather jacket with black
sleeves and a yellow skull cap. Suspect 3 is a black male aged about 19
years 5'10" tall with cropped black hair, proportionate build with
slanted shaved notches in both eyebrows.

Incident: Other Theft

Location: Wendall Road, W12
This incident concerns a 93-year-old female victim who was contacted
direct by a firm of builders who had done some work nearby. They asked
if she had anything she needed doing claiming to have done work for her
in the past. She asked them to replace a paving slab in the front
garden, which was loose. A couple of days later they returned and
concreted her front garden but then presented her with a bill for
£50,000. She paid by cheque and unfortunately did not bring this to
anyone else's attention until after the cheque had been cashed.

Location: Route 283 bus from Hammersmith Broadway to Hammersmith Bridge
Road
Victim was a 15-year-old schoolboy who got on the bus at Hammersmith
Broadway. He went to the back of the bus and sat down. He was then
joined by two suspects who got on at the same stop. Suspect 1 asked if
he had a mobile phone and when told he had not, asked him what other
items of value he had. He stated he had a mini-disc player, which was
broken. Suspect 2 produced a knife and the victim handed over his
mini-disc player, a £10 note and 20 Euro note.
Suspect 1 described as Asian male about 16 years old, short waxed hair,
wearing a white top, square jaw line with pointed chin. Suspect 2 was
male about 16 years old wearing a blue hooded top.

by two suspects who demanded they hand over their phones, when they

over their phones to the males who walked off towards Frithville
Gardens. Neither was injured. Both phones were worth in the region of
£100 each.

16-year-old male victim was walking down the road having just turned off
Percy Road when he was approached by two suspects. One threatened him
with a broken bottle and told him to empty his pockets or he would cut
him. Fearing for his safety he handed over his Nokia 351I mobile phone
valued at £150 and £3 cash. Suspects then walked calmly away along Percy
Road.
Suspect 1 described as a black male aged about 18 years 6'0" tall
wearing a grey hooded top, baggy "evisu" jeans. He had short brown hair
and was thinly built. Suspect 2 is described as a black male aged about
17 years 5'0" tall with black braided hair, stocky build. He was wearing

Victim was a 16-year-old male who was walking along on route to his
grandmother's house when he was approached by three black male suspects
on BMX type bikes. One of them asked if he had anything on him, the
victim said no but the suspect went on to search him and threaten him.
The suspect found the victim's mobile phone hidden up his sleeve, which
he then stole. The victim asked for his phone chip back and the suspect
obliged before cycling off towards Glenthorne Road. Value of the phone
was £150.
Suspect 1 is described as a black male about 16 years old 6'1" tall
with a deep voice. He was wearing a grey tracksuit hooded top, light
coloured trainers and a red and clue cap with NBA logo. Suspect 2 is

Victims are two elderly people one male and one female aged 76 and 79
years. The male victim was leaving the post office when he was
approached by a male who stated he was from the Gas Company. He told him
his wife was in a state and the victim rushed home. There he was met by
another male who said he would need to check the property to establish
where the leak was. Once inside the suspect looked round the flat and
then asked personal details to verify his address. A third suspect in
the mean time had turned up and left with the second suspect. The victim
then realized that £160 cash had been taken.

Victim, a 53-year-old female was at home working in her office when she
heard a noise downstairs. She came downstairs and disturbed a suspect in
her hallway, who grabbed her handbag which had been hanging on the stair
banister and made off through the front door towards Munster Road. It
would appear that the keys may have been taken from the radiator shelf
near the front door via the letterbox. Value of property stolen £100.

Police were called to premises via the London Fire Brigade regarding a
substantial fire in the basement and ground floor area of a baker shop.
6 occupants from the flats above the shop had to be evacuated and
several needed treatment for minor smoke inhalation. The fire appears to
have been started deliberately and police are treating the matter as

The victim was a 40-year-old male who was attacked in the street by two
Middle Eastern males aged about 25 years, in an apparent argument over

and once on the floor was kicked, hit on the head with a rock and
stamped on. The suspects then made off into Uxbridge Road. The victim
injuries were described as serious but not life threatening and he was
treated at New Charring Cross Hospital. He has since been discharged.

Victim was a 16-year-old male who was walking down the street when he
was approached by 3 black males. One of the males told him to give him
his trainers. The victim said no and tried to carry on walking but one
of the males sprayed a noxious substance into his face causing him to
fall to the ground. They stole his Nike Air Force One trainers valued at
£55. The suspects made off on pedal cycles. Victim's eyes were red, very
itchy and watering and the surrounding skin was also red. He was treated
in Hammersmith Hospital A&E and later discharged. He has suffered no
permanent damage to his eyes.
Suspects described as three black males one was wearing a grey hooded
top, 1.68m tall, one 1.75m tall one of the pedal cycles was red in
colour.

Victim is a 87 year old female who was about to leave her premises when
she was approached by a male wearing a yellow workman's jacket who told
her he was from the gas board and that he needed to check her gas
immediately. Before she could check for any identification he entered
the premises and stated he need to test her gas rings. She accompanied
him into the kitchen where he turned on the gas. He then asked her to
keep them on while he checked something out and when he failed to return
she went to investigate. She discovered left taking £132 from her
shopping trolley by the front door.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30S. He had light brown
hair, was clean-shaven and about 1.78m tall. He was wearing a yellow
fluorescent and green trimmed workman's jacket.

Incident: Criminal Damage by fire endangering life
Date & Time: 25/10/03 at 7.45pm
Location: Uxbridge Road, Shepherds Bush, W12; Flats above shops
Police were called to the location after a member of the public spotted
a large amount of smoke coming from the building and arrived to find the
Fire Brigade already on scene. Four occupants were rescued from the
building and treated for shock. The fire appears to have started on the
stairwell and second floor landing. It appears to have been started
deliberately and police are treating the matter as suspicious.

On Thursday 23rd October a lighting shop closed up at 7.30pm leaving the
premises intact. The following morning one of the store managers
returned to find all three front window of the store smashed. The
displays behind these windows contained animal fur. It is not known if
this was the motivation for the damage.

Incident: Distraction theft

Location: The Ram Public House, King Street, Hammersmith, W6
Victim is a 32-year-old female, who was in the pub with a friend, places
her mobile phone on the table whilst chatting. Two females entered the
pub brandishing a tube map at the victim. The second suspect distracted
the friend by asking for 50p whilst the other waves the tube map and
places it down on the table in front of the victim covering the mobile
phone. Having stolen the phone, the suspects made off along Blacks Road
chased by another drinker who had seen what had happened.
Both suspects are described as female of Arab appearance, aged about 17
years and wearing all black clothing.

Incident: Attempted Robbery of Commercial Premises

Location: North End Road, Fulham, SW6
Victim's are two males aged 28 and 32 who were working in the shop when
four suspects entered the premises. They shouted at the victim to give
them the money from the till, and one of them produced a large knife
which he threatened the victim with. The second victim, who had been at
the rear of the shop, emerged and challenged the suspects who then made
off north along North End Road into West Kensington Tube Station where
they jumped on a tube.
Suspects are described as four black males aged between 20 and 25 years.
Suspect 1 described as 1.88m wearing a white jacket, jeans and trainers.

She took out her mobile phone and whilst holding it to her ear the suspect cycled up behind her, grabbed the phone and as he did so he punched her on the left side of her face causing minor pain to her left cheek. Phone valued at £100.

An 85 year old lady was at home when someone knocked on the door and she was confronted by a person telling her they were bringing her a meal. She was confused, as she had already had her tea but let the person in. The lights in the flat were not switched on and she later became aware that there were several other people in the flat. She later discovered her handbag missing, Total value £410.
Suspects believed to be two females and a male.
This is believed to be the third burglary of this type in as many weeks in the vicinity.

A 20 year old white male was walking along the pavement texting a friend on his mobile phone. He moved out of the way of an oncoming pedestrian and as he looked up he found he was staring down the barrel of a metallic silver handgun. The suspect laughed and walked on.
The victim was very shaken by the incident but not physically harmed.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid twenties, medium build 1.7m tall with spiky ruffled hair, wearing dark clothing and a lime green faded puffer jacket.

This was a high value burglary where a large quantity of jewellery was stolen valued in the region of £3600. The victim a 29 year old female returned home from work and was unable to open the front door. She noticed that the curtains had been drawn and that the lights were on. She had to call a locksmith to assist her gain entry.
The suspect is described as a white male about 35 years old 1.85m tall with short dark brown hair, wearing a dark brown jacket and beige trousers.

Victim was a 94 year old male who was in bed when he heard his door handle being turned after the doorbell rang twice. He answered the door to find a male who stated he had come round at the request of a neighbour to put up a new fence. He was allowed access and whilst inspecting the rear to be fenced the victim noticed a second male come into the premises who claimed to be the first males boss. The second male asked to see the victim's pension book to check if he was entitled to a discount. Whilst the victim was distracted the second suspect stole £870 from a handbag in the lounge.
Suspects are described as 2 white males both aged about 25 years. The first one was 1.68m tall, clean shaven and a slight build. He has short light brown hair and a speech impediment. The second one was 1.73m tall, stocky build, clean-shaven with short light brown hair, he was wearing a dark short coloured coat.

Incident: Theft of Pedal Cycle
Date& Time: 17/10/03 8.30pm to 8.30am
Location: Dorville Crescent, Hammersmith, W6
Theft of a pedal cycle from the owner's front garden, where it had been left unattended and secured by means of a cable lock, which was cut off and left at the scene. The cycle is unusual in that it is powered by a battery and that was not on the cycle at the time as it was being charged. The bike would be very heavy to pedal around without it as there is a small motor attached to the front wheel. It is likely that this bike has been dumped fairly closely.

Location: Fulham Road, o/s the Broadway Shopping Centre.
The 25 year old male victim was at the location then he was approached
by a group of at least 10 Chelsea supporters, all wearing CFC football
shirts. The main suspect is a White male, aged about 35 years, 6'00",
skinhead hair style. He said to the victim "You blacks have a lot of
chat", the victims friend said "What did you say", the suspect then
approached the victim & punched him in the mouth, the victim then fell
to the floor. The suspect & the group then went into the underground
station.

Location: Atlanta Street, SW6.
The 22 year old female victim was at the location when she was
approached by a Black male suspect, aged about 16, 6'0", wearing a
school uniform. The suspect asked for a cigarette, the victim gave him
one, he then asked for a light. The victim then turned to enter an
office, the suspect then felt her behind. The victim turned & said "How
dare you" the suspect then groped her breast. The suspect then made off
towards Atlanta Street.

Location: o/s Kensington Olympia LTE station.
The 29 year old female victim was leaving the station when she was
approached by a Black male, 5'07" wearing a black hooded top. He ran up
to the victim held a kitchen type knife towards the victim & said "Give
me your purse", the victim had her purse in her hand & the suspect
snatched it from her before running off.

Incident: Distraction Burglary
Date & time: 01/10/03 at 1230pm.
Location: Muscat House, Field Road, SW6
The 85 year old male victim had been out in Greyhound Road & had walked
home, it would appear that he had been followed. Once in his flat, there
was a knock on the door. The suspects were 2 Irish males both about 40
years & both 5'08" tall. One male put his foot in the door, he said that
he was there from the council to check out some work & he tried to walk
in. The victim noticed that there was no ID, so he told him to go away,
ie in no uncertain terms. The suspect then asked to use the toilet & the
victim again swore at his to clear off. The 2 suspects then walked off
towards Greyhound Road. No property was stolen, then victim had quite
rightly refused them entry.

Location: Faroe Road, W14
The 17 year old female victim was walking towards Blythe Road using her
mobile telephone. The Black male suspect, aged about 14 years wearing a
Blue hooded top, rode up behind her & snatched her phone from her hand.
He then cycled off into Milson Road, a passing motorist gave chase in
her car but lost the suspect, she then returned to the victim. There was
also a young male on a bike who stopped & then followed the suspect.

Location: Wingate Road, W6.
The 13 year old male victim was walking along Wingate Road, when he saw
a group of youths in front of him. He decided to cross the road to avoid
them. However a Black male suspect, aged about 16 years, 5'10", wearing
a dark grey hooded top, blue emblem on the front & dark trousers,
approached him. The suspect asked what he had in his pockets. The
suspect then saw the victims mobile telephone, the suspect asked for the
phone, a Motorola valued at £300. The victim refused & the suspect
approached him again in a threatening manner, the victim fearing for his
safety handed the phone over. The suspect then threatened to slash the
victim when the victim swore at him. The suspect then re-joined the
group & they all made off towards Goldhawk Road.

The 2 teenaged victims were at the location when they were approached by
2 males. 1 of the males said to the other "Jack his phone, jack his
phone", this is slang for steal. 1 of the males said "Give me your
phone", this male then punched the victim in the face, the 2 victims
then ran off, leaving the suspects empty handed.

The 34 year old female victim was walking along the Kings Road when she
notice a male following her on a bike, riding very slowly. The male then
rode up & grabbed her handbag, there was a struggle, he then let go,
punched her in the face & tried to take her mobile telephone. He fled
empty handed

Location: Sulgrave Gardens, W6.
The 75 tear old female victim of this matter was at home waiting for her
grandson to call, she answered a knock at the door to find 2 males. 1 of
the men asked her if a certain person was there, the lady replied that
no one but her lived at the address. The man was insistant that his
friend did live there & he asked for a piece of paper to leave a
message. The lady went into the kitchen to get a piece of paper, leaving
the front door ajar. On her return she saw the man coming out of her
spare bedroom. She challenged him, but he made no reply & both men left.
Nothing had been taken.

A 43 year old male was at the location when he was attacked from behind
by a black male armed with a metal bar. The attack was unprovoked, the
victim fought back & the suspect ran off towards King Street. The victim
recieved injuries to his head, back & left leg.

The playground & building have been recently refurbished however it
would appear that youths have attended causing damage which is valued at £3000. This has caused distress to the playgroup staff & the children who use this falicity. This is a case of unnecessary damage which has to be repaired at the public expence.

Children were seen to push a wall at the location, which after some
considerable effort fell. The damage is valued at £650. The children

The 79 year old victim was at home with her blind son, when she answered a knock at the door. 2 men stated that they were from the water board & were involved in digging up the road & that there would be water pressure problems in hre house for about an hour. They asked to come in & check the water. The lady let them in, 1 of the males told the other to go up stairs & check the bathroom, the first male asked the lady to empty a cupboard. A short while later the 2 men left the house. The victim was concerned as it did not appear that the men had checked the pipes. On checking the house it was discovered that a total of £9100 in case had been taken from various rooms upstairs.

The 31 year old male victim was walking at the location when a suspect tried to snatch his mobile phone, the suspect then started to fight with the victim. During which time a second suspect cycled around them. The fight was witnessed by a number of people. The suspect managed to get the phone he then picked up his bike & rode off towards Hammersmith Hospital.

The 18 year old male victim was at the location when he was by 3 people. 1 of the group told the victim to pass his phone. The suspect then produced a large kitchen knife from his sleeve. The victim was then punched in the face by the suspect. His mobile telephone was then stolen, the group then ran off towards Fulham Court.

The 16 year old male victim was in the centre of the Green with friend,

assault, handed over. The suspect made off towards Rockley Road.

The 71 year old female victim answered the door, to find a suspect who stated that he was from the Water Board & was working upstairs. He needed to check for leaks. The victim had infact been waiting for the water board re a leak in the roof tank, the suspect asked to check the kitchen out, he later left stating that he had to go for tools, he did not return. She then checked her bedroom & it had been ransacked. She found that a wallet & £200 had been taken.

Date & time: 20/08/03 at 1100hrs
The 91 year old female victim answered a knock on the door, there were 2 suspects who told her that they were printers & decorator coming to do work on her flat. She allowed them entry, the 2 men then went into all the rooms of the flat. A neighbour upstairs heard a lot of noise coming from the flat so went to investigate. The neighbour then saw the 2 suspects leaving the victims flat & challenged them, the suspects gave the same story & said they were going to their van, they then left the flats. The neighbour then checked the victim. it would appear that nothing had been taken. The council state that there were no workers
booked to work at the flats at the time.

The 78 year old victim answered the door to a suspect posing as a Water Board worker. stating that there was a leak in the flat above. He asked to check the kitchen & bathroom, the victim allowed him free access in the flat. When she later checked her bedroom she found that the bed clothes had been disturbed & a drawer was open, she found that £65 had been taken.

Location: Shepherds Bush Green junction with Holland Road.
The 27 year old female victim was walking on the south side of the
Southern roundabout. when a Black male aged about 18 years, wearing a Black T shirt riding a Mountain Bike rode up towards her. He came up beside her & grabbed her breasts, he then pushed her to the ground & rode off. There were numerous people nearby who witnessed this incident, but no one came forward to assist the victim.

Date: 13/08/03 between 0005hrs & 0030hrs.
Location: nr to The Black Lion Public House, W6.
The 19 year old victim was with friend in the park area overlooking the river near Black Lion Lane when they were approached by 2 suspects described as 1; a Black male, aged about 19 years, 6'00", wearing a Yellow Baseball Cap, Yellow Sports top & Yellow knee length shorts on a mountain bike.
2; a White Female, aged about 18 years, 5'06", wearing a Black Top,
brown hair in a Ponytail, riding a bike.
The victim & friend were drinking Vodka at the location when the
suspects approached. A conversation took place during which the male suspect became aggressive. The male suspect then picked up the bottle of Vodka & moved away, the victim followed him to retrieve the bottle. The suspect then smashed the bottle against a nearby bench, which took three attempts. The suspect then lashed out at the victim with the broken bottle connecting with his neck. The victim later received treatment at the Charing Cross Hospital, where he has received 25 stitches to two neck wounds.

The 33 year old female victim was getting a parking ticket from a nearby machine & had returned to her car. The suspect a Black male, aged about 20 years, 5'07", wearing a Black baseball cap, White sporty vest, three quarters length navy shorts, riding a BMX bike came up behind her & snatched her handbag from her hand. The suspect then rode off towards the Goldhawk Road.

The 36 year old female victim had walked along Vera Road & turned into Munster Road, where she found her way blocked by two suspects on a Moped.

The passenger on the Moped grabbed the victims wrist watch & tried to pull it off. The victim then undid the watch. The suspect then looked at the watch & threw it to the ground before making off.

Location: Moore Park Road at the junction with Harwood Road, SW6
The 49 year old female victim was walking with a friend when they became aware of two males acting suspiciously on Moped. The victim saw the bike on a couple of occasions, Britannia Road & Waterford Road, before reaching the location of theft. The two suspects are described as
1; a Black male, aged about 20 years, 5'06", wearing cream trousers,
light coloured bomber jacket, white crash helmet.
2; a White male, aged about 17 years, wearing a pale coloured crash
helmet.
The Black suspect approached the victim & grabbed her wrist watch, a
Rolex Oyster valued at £3000. Pulling it off & getting back on the Moped riding off. Passing police officers on foot were drawn to the location by the victim screams. The officers saw the suspect making off on a Silver coloured Moped, registration number W533ALM.

A 20 year old male victim received fatal stabs wounds to the leg. A male suspect was chased from the location by witnesses & caught by police in Fulham Broadway, SW6. The victim was taken to the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital where he later died. The suspect is in police detention.

The 44 year old male & 21 year old victims were in the pub with friends, when their attention was drawn to three suspects who were making inappropriate comments to two women in the bar area. The 21 year old victim challenged the suspects behaviour & he was attacked the 44 year old victim saw the attack & went to his aid. Both victims were punched, kicked & both were hit over the head with glasses. The suspects are described as

The 27 years old female victim was at the location when she was
approached by the suspect, a Black female, aged about 22 years, 5'07".
The suspect asked for money, the victim ignored her. The suspect then followed the victim still asking for money, the victim continued to
ignore the suspect, who then punched her in the stomach & grabbed the victims bag. The suspect made off in North End road empty handed.

The occupants had gone to bed leaving a window open, when they were woken by an unusual noise, a burglar had entered the house via an open window & was challenged by the male occupant. The suspect is described as a White male, 5'10", wearing a black baseball cap, red T shirt & blue jeans. He made off from the house taking a Gold ring & white metallic watch.

Location: Southcombe Street, W14.
A female occupant had been watching TV when she returned to her bedroom to find a suspect there, he is described as a Black male, 5'06" aged about 20yrs, wearing a black tracksuit & had socks on both hands. She started to shout for help & the suspect punched her several times on the arms. The suspect had gained entry via a first floor open window & escaped via the front door where he was seen by another resident, the suspect was seen to run off towards North End Road, empty handed.

Location: Westwick Gardens, W14
The victim in this matter is wheelchair bound & he was making his way home when a white female, aged about 40 yrs, 5'04" Irish accent, wearing a white T shirt & black skirt offered to assist him. He accepted this help in getting into his house. Once the door was open the female was joined by a second suspect, a black male, about 19 years old, wearing a red tracksuit top & black trousers forced his way into the house & stole
£230 in cash before making off.

The 25 year old male victim was walking home, using his mobile telephone when he was approached from behind by a black male, about 24 years old, 6'00" who grabbed his phone. The suspect was on a mountain bike & made of along Perrymead Street.

The residents of the house were woken by an unusal sound to find a male of mediterranean appearance in their bedroom doorway. the suspect then ran from the house empty handed, having entered via the open/unlocked first floor patio doors. Once the male resident had checked that his wife was OK, he ran after the suspect to see him fleeing along Rockley Road
towards Shepherds Bush Green.

Attempted Distraction Burglary.

Location: Mortimer Housr, North End Road, W14.
The 36 year old female resident answered a knock on the door to be met by a white male, about 25 years old, 6'00", short black hair, wearing a blue jumper. The suspect told the occupant that he was from the Gas Board & he was checking that her gas was blue, he quickly showed a badge of some sort. The occupant did not allow him into the flat however he did try to get in, she told him that he was not going to be allowed in, at this the suspect walked off. The occupant then phone the gas board to check if someone was calling in the area at that time, to be told, NO.

The male occupant of the premises had his attention drawn to a male of mediterranean appearance entering the house via open patio doors, the occuapnt challenged the male. The suspect then threatened the occupant with a screwdriver. The suspect decamped towards the Talgarth Road. The occupant checked the flat to find that a computer & JVC camcorder had been taken.

3; an asain male, 18 years, 5'06".
the bag was snatched from her shoulders & the suspects ran off towards
the Uxbridge Road.

near Ellenborough Hose on the White City Estate.
The 50 year old male victim was waiting at a bus stop on the A40 when he was approached by a black male, 20 yeras old, 5'10", wearing a white T shirt & black bottoms on a mountian bike. The suspect produced a knife & demanded the victims money, the victim handed over £30 & a mobile telephone. The suspect then rode off onto the White City Estate.

Date: overnight - 21/07/03
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham Housing Office on the White City Estate.
At some whilst the office as closed persons unknown placed rubbish & leaves against the fire doors & started a fire. Minimal damage was caused & no one was injured.

Date: Monday 21/07/03 between 1440hrs & 1500hrs.
Location: 87 - 93 Goldhawk Road (Goldhawk Motors)
Person unknown has removed the chimney pot for the premises & dropped a plastic container stuffed with cotton wool down the chimney. The cotton wool was alight. Staff at the garage put the fire out themselves, no damage was caused. There are residential properties above the garage & if the fire had taken the matter would have been very serious. Someone had to get onto the roof area of the garage to commit the offence.

Assault
Date: 22/07/03 at 1120hrs
Location: Shepherds Bush Green, near the Tennis Courts.
The victim a 43 year old man became engaged in an argument with 2
suspects.
1: a white male, 28 years, 5'10", wearing a Black & Blue jacket, blue
jeans, white trainers & a baseball cap.
2: a white male, 40 years, 5'10", wearing Blue jeans & white trainers.
A witness saw three men fighting at the location, the victim was knocked to the ground where the suspects punched & kicked him. The LAS crew where very concerned for the victim & he was taken to New Charing Cross Hospital. He suffering a head injury & was detained in the hospital overnight. He has recovered from the beating with minor injuries. A number of witnesses have come forward but it appears many more saw the assault.

Date: 23/07/03 at 1430hrs
Location: O/S, Babushka Restaurant, Kings Road, SW6.
The victim & a friend were eating at the restaurant when 2 suspects approached their table, begging. Suspects: 2 10-year-old Eastern European females placed a Tube Map over the victims mobile telephone which was on the table. Then the suspects were dismissed by the victim & her friend, restaurant staff ushered the suspects out. It was then that the suspect had taken the phone from the table.
This method of theft is very common within the Greater London area, at venues such as restaurants & pubs. People need to keep their belongings safe.

Location: Godolphin Road, O/S The Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
The 30-year-old male victim was approached by 2 suspects.
1: a black male, 22 years, 5'10", wearing a navy blue T shirt, black
trousers & trainers.
2: a black male, 23 years, 6'01", wearing brown/black zip up jacket,
black jeans, white trainers.
The suspects stopped the victim asking him for money, he told them that he did not have any. The suspects then grabbed the victim around the neck & searched him. Property was taken from his pockets, during the offence the victim was struggling with the suspects.
The victim has received minor injuries to his arms & neck.

The 31-year-old male victim had just finished using his mobile phone, which he put into his pocket, when he was approached by 3 suspects. One suspect drew a knife & held it to the victims chest, the other 2 stood one on each side. The victim was asked for the mobile phone. The victim in fact had 2 mobiles which he handed over which the cash he had on him, the suspects then made off towards West Brompton tube station.

1: a black male, 30 years, 6'01", wearing sun glasses, dark top, light
blue jeans, brown boots, dark baseball cap.
2: a white male, 22 years, 5'00", wearing cream track suit trousers,

The victim, an 18-year-old female, was walking past the Library using her mobile phone then the suspect approached her from behind on a bicycle.

Further advice for mobile telephone users, be aware of what is going on around you, if possible stop & stand in a doorway or with your back against a wall. Many of the offences of theft of mobile telephones are committed by young males on bicycles.

Attempted Burglary
Date: 27/07/03 at 0735hrs
Location: Hugon Road, SW6
A passer-by saw two suspects acting suspiciously at the door to a house, he noticed that they were looking through the letter box, it was then that he saw they had a length of bamboo cane which they were using as a method to steal from inside. He then called the police. On the arrival of police the men had gone, the bamboo cane was found nearby.
Suspects:
1: a white male, 6'02", wearing blue jeans, dark blue hooded top.
2: a male, no other description.
This method is known as a letterbox burglary, property such as keys etc are taken from just inside the front door, the suspect will then enter the house or steal a car if it can be identified.
Crime prevention advice is that you never leave property near the door that can be seen if someone looks through the letter box.

Mind your motorcycle over night
There are suspects operating in the Hammersmith & Fulham area stealing
unattended motorcycles over night.
During the early hours on the 15th July two M/C's were stolen from
Sidbury Street, SW6 by suspects using a White Transit van, 1 bike has
subsequently recovered.
Over night between the 15th & 16th July a White Mercedes Vito van was
used to steal a M/C, the driver has been arrested & the M/C recovered.
Over night between the 15th & 16th July a Blue van was used to steal a
M/C from Beryl Road, SW6.

A lone female was walking home when she was attacked from behind by a 15 year old Black male, 5'06" wearing shorts & T-shirt. He grabbed her buttocks. The victim shouted at the suspect & started to scream. A resident in the street came to his window & shouted at the suspect & a passing male chased the suspect down the street, but lost him. A male victim were approached by two suspects:
1 - a 15 year old Asain male, 5'07" wearing White Tracksuit Trousers, short Black hair, left eye brow had lines shaved in it.
2 - a 15 year old white male, 5'09" wearing white tracksuit trousers &
white top. Crew cut hair.
The 2 suspects approached the victim asking him to stop, the suspects
spoke to the victim using street slang, which the victim did not fully
understand. The Asian victim them demanded a mobile telephone from the
victim & produced a knife in order to threaten him. The victim refused &
managed to get into a nearby building to escape, the suspects then ran
off.

A 43 year old female driving instructor was teaching a 25 year old female learner at the location, in a Blue BSM Vauxhall Corsa. They had stopped to execute a reversing manoeuvre, when a 25 year old white male of scruffy appearance with short blonde hair opened the drivers door. He said 'I need your car', he pulled at the drivers arm, she got out of the car. The instructor, fearing for her safety also got out, the suspect then drove off being chased by 2 witnesses. The suspect drove the car into Aldbourne Road, W12, which is a dead end. The suspect then abandoned the car & ran off, it was then recovered by the instructor.

The male driver of a Green Renault Laguna M911UOO had parked his car whilst he popped into a nearby shop. He left the keys in the car as his 8 year old daughter was sitting in the rear seat. A 25 year old white male suspect with short blonde hair, a Scottish accent got into the drivers seat & told the 8 year old girl to get out, which she did. The suspect then drove off. The girl was unharmed. The car is still missing.
