Shared Experience's After Mrs Rochester have been also nominated for two TMA Awards, the Opus Award for Best Touring Production and Sarah Ball for Best Supporting Actress, but the prizes went to Lyndsey Marshal for A Midsummer Night's Dream at Bristol Old Vic and another A Midsummer Night's Dream, a Watermill Theatre production by Propeller.

For the 49th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards After Mrs Rochester have been nominated in the best play category with Democracy at the National Theatre and Fallout from the Royal Court. The winners will be announced at the Savoy Hotel on 24 November. The award is presented annually of achievements in British theatre.

Play written and directed by Polly Teale, After Mrs Rochester is the story of Jean Rhys, author of Wide Sargasso Sea. Jean Rhys' inspired prequel to Jane Eyre, Wide Sargasso Sea, gave Mrs Rochester, the madwoman in the attic, her own remarkable story. After Mrs. Rochester explores Jean Rhys' character through her life, her work and her obsession with Charlotte Bronte's first Mrs Rochester in Jane Eyre.

The play was at the Lyric in April and May and Shared Experience is back to Hammersmith until the 22 November with Madame Bovary Breakfast with Emma, another play directed by Polly Teale. On 17 November, the public can meet the company after the show and on 19 November there will be a complete insight into the making of Shared Experience's latest production with the actors looking at rehearsal techniques, in addition to set, lighting and sound design.
