Performing arts workshops for children aged 7 to 13

Summer Holiday Activities
This summer, the Lyric Hammersmith is running a programme of performing arts workshops for children aged 7 to 13 to develop their interest in performing and have fun. Spread over a range of days, children can either decide to attend a full programme, or dip in and out of the workshops that are of the most interest.
28 & 29 July - Workshops led by Fevered Sleep
Fevered Sleep is one of the country’s leading original and innovative companies creating theatre for children. They will be running two workshops:
28 July - Performing Pictures - create original material inspired by paintings and photographs 29 July Shadows and Light - discover unexpected ways of using light in performance.
The mornings are for 7 to 10 year olds (10.30am - 12.30pm) and the afternoons for 11 to 13 year olds (2.30pm - 4.30pm). Tickets are £8 per workshop or £14 for both.
23 to 26 August and 30 August to 2 September - Workshops led by Lyric Hammersmith practitioners
Join the Lyric’s Education Team - top practitioners who have worked at the National Theatre and RADA. They will be running eight workshops:
23 August - Fun with Drama
24 August - Dance
25 August - Improvising
26 August - Physical Theatre
30 August - Scripts 1, Introduction
31 August - Vocal Techniques
1 September - Scripts 2, Scenes
2 September - Stage Techniques
Again the mornings are for 7 to 10 year olds (10.30am - 12.30pm) and the afternoons for 11 to 13 year olds (2.30pm - 4.30pm). Tickets are £8 per workshop, and you can book all eight together for £56.
