Community Gardening Day in Marcus Garvey Park

---

Help to plant 30 new shrubs on Sunday October 12

The Friends of Marcus Garvey Park, off North End Road are inviting local people to come to a special community gardening day on October 12 to help them plant 30 new shrubs.

Already this month, 30 volunteers of all ages helped to create London's newest community orchard, planting apple and plum trees and some shrubs.

No experience is necessary to help out, and all welcome! Learn about gardening and help to make a better local park, for young and old (and bees and bugs).

Gardening day on Sunday October 12 is from 2.30pm till 4.30pm, with volunteers welcome to drop in any time.

Find out more on the Friends' Facebook page.
