Morrissey, Muse, Rod Stewart, Kylie Minogue and Destiny's Child
London’s Earls Court is set to play host to a great line up of headline acts in 2004 and 2005, proving that legendary artists at the top of their game continue to perform great shows at the Earls Court arena.
Morrissey takes to the stage for one night only on Saturday 18th December 2004 to play his biggest ever London gig in support of his new album “You are the Quarry.”
MUSE round off their spectacular year with their biggest ever indoor show on Sunday 19th and Monday 20th December 2004. The Devon space-rock trio was recently the toast of the Q Awards and the Digital Music Awards.
Rod Stewart plays London’s Earls Court on 9th and 11th May 2005 as part of his first major UK tour in three years, accompanied by his twelve-piece band, string section and background singers. He will be performing tracks from his new album “Stardust – The Great American Songbook Volume III” as well as tracks from his amazing catalogue of thirty years of hits.
Kylie Minogue comes to Earls Court for the first time as part of her “Showgirl” world tour. The Australian pop princess will wow her fans for four nights on 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th May 2005 at the culmination of the European leg of her tour, following the release of “Ultimate Kylie” on 22nd November 2004.
Demand for “Showgirl” tickets was so high that telephone and online booking lines were jammed from 9.00 am as fans tried to buy tickets for the show. At one point the main telephone exchange at Bishopsgate, used by Bookings Direct for Earls Court events, crashed from the volume of calls.
Suzie Pollock, EC&O’s Entertainment Manager says: “It’s a great testament to Earls Court as a live music venue that such legendary names come to play here. We’re really excited to have such a range of great live acts on stage – renowned acts like these can fill the Earls Court arena. 2005 is going to be a great year for live music at Earls Court and we are looking forward to welcoming more headline acts to the venue.”
If that wasn’t enough, Destiny’s Child has just announced that they will kick off the UK leg of their first tour in over three years at Earls Court on Thursday 2nd June 2005. The tour follows the completion of their eagerly awaited album “Destiny Fulfilled” which is their first full length album since 2001.
