QPR wants 9,000 new seats at Ellerslie Road and surroundings.
Queens Park Rangers are in negotiations with the Council to increase the capacity of Loftus Road to 28,000, it was published in the Evening Standard.
According to the paper, the plan is to extend the ground, which has a capacity of 19,000, by lifting the roof and building new seats at the Ellerslie Road, Loftus Road, and School End stands. The scheme could also include another 15 hospitality boxes.
“Talks are in the early stages, and the club have not yet drafted a planning application, but are confident the scheme could go ahead”, says the paper.
QPR's majority shareholder Gianni Paladini said to the Evening Standard: “The council are very keen for it to go ahead because they want us to stay in Shepherd's Bush. They contacted us on Tuesday and talks are progressing well.”
