The Greater London Authority published it s first Private Sector Rents Bulletin, providing a snapshot of the rents behaviour by borough on the basis of data contained in classified advertisements from the end of November 2002 to mid January 2003. According to the bulletin, one bedroom flat in W6 cost a minimum of £235 per week, one of the highest rents among the 28 postcodes analised. Boroughwide, one bedroom flat can cost up to £1,000 per week. The minimum weekly rent for one bedroom in Hammersmith and Fulham is of £175. A two bedrooms cost at least £138 and a three bedrooms £280 p/w. The borough has, predictably,
one of the most expensive average rents in London for all bedrooms
sizes: Again, the highest average rents
per week for rooms, bedsits and sharers can be found in the
Hammersmith and Fulham (£121.13) as well in the boroughs
of Westminster (£136.75), Kensington and Chelsea (£132)
and Camden (£117.82). |
