Hammersmith
and Fulham Friends of the Earth were outside Shepherds Bush library
this Saturday asking the public to send postcards to their local
MP to ask them to support EDM 1380 to Save the Mail Trains. They
collected 115 postcards from concerned residents. Councillor Jafar
Khaled of Shepherds Bush Green attended the stall and supported
the campaign. The Royal Mail have announced that it was going to withdraw its entire network of rail services for mail distribution by March 2004, in favour of a road based distribution network. |
