Latymer's double success

Following A-level outstanding achievement, record breaking GCSE's results.

Latymer Upper School pupils are celebrating record success for the second week running.

Following the school’s best ever A-Level results, it has been the turn of Latymer’s GCSE students to surpass all their predecessors by accumulating an astonishing 520 A* grades. 77% of all grades achieved by the large cohort of 141 pupils were A*/A, representing a 10% improvement on the previous record.

In addition, no fewer than 11 students received a special certificate from the Exam Board for being in the top 5 marks in the whole country.

Latymer Upper’s Head, Peter Winter, says: “It has been an enormous pleasure to see so many of our pupils thrilled by the quite outstanding successes
they have achieved. This is the sixth consecutive year that we have beaten our previous academic performance, so this is not a one-off. We are really
on a roll. Our improvement far outstrips the national trend.”
