Step Up returns

After the success of Step Up 10 earlier this year, Step Up returns for its eleventh visit to the Lyric Hammersmith’s Studio, this time with three different nights of top talent.

Each year, the brightest young performers audition for a place in one of these three evenings to showcase their work - the results are an ingenious mix of music, dancing, rapping and comedy.

Since 1999 Step Up has been a place for young performers in the West London community to come and show their talents - that may have otherwise been missed without a venue in which to perform. Step Up has now become an institution amongst West London Youth, providing them with the opportunity to meet other local young people and experience working as part of a professional theatre.

New for this year is Step Up’s involvement in START, a new arts training programme for 13 to 19 year olds. START is a free series of classes and workshops where young people can gain an accredited qualification and get involved with creating performances for the Lyric Studio.
