St Peter's Singers celebrate Carissimi's anniversary

The orchestra will be using period instruments

 

St Peter’s Singers are pleased to announce their next concert, to be held on March 12th 2005.

To celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the great Italian composer Giacomo Carissimi, it will be held at St James’s Church Piccadilly, London W1, starting at 7.30 pm.

Soloists and players will be from the respected company, I Fagiolini, and the principal works will be Carissimi’s oratorios ‘Jonas’ and ‘Jephta’. There will also some Monterverdi!

The orchestra will be using period instruments and the Conductor will be Duncan Aspden.
