Police is investigating another suspicious fire in Hammersmith area. The third incident occurred overnight between the 6th and 7th November at Netherwood Road. The victim returned to her property, which had been left unattended overnight, to find that an estate agents flyer had been set alight and pushed under the door of their storeroom.

Fortunately the paper had gone out thus preventing serious damage, however there was a large quantity of carrier bags containing clothing close by and this could easily have caught fire and caused serious damage or endangerment of life.

There is no known motive for this crime, however police are treating the incident as suspicious.

The second suspicious incident happened just the evening before, on Sunday 9th, when a fire that badly damaged a café and delicatessen at 140 Shepherds Bush Road. Six occupants from the flats above the delicatessen Sutherlands had to be evacuated and several needed treatment for minor smoke inhalation.

Police are treating the matter as suspicious since the fire appears to have been started deliberately. And the first suspicious fire incident that took place in the area was in Uxbridge Road, Shepherd's Bush on the 25th October.
