Calling all would-be Thespians...

Amateur dramatics raising money for charity

Do you fancy having some fun whilst raising money for good causes? We set up a charitable organisation called “The Rhubarb Fools” about 2 years ago because we wanted to put on a play, have some fun and raise money for a good cause. Our play ran for 2 nights and we managed to raise about £5,000 for an aids charity in Africa.

We had such fun that we would now like to continue doing this and would like to identify more people to get involved. As we are not professional (or particularly talented!) actors we like to concentrate on humorous plays – the theory being that audiences are rather more forgiving if we can make them laugh.

If you are based in West London and can spare a few hours a week and the occasional Saturday or Sunday afternoon and feel you could contribute to any of the following activities:

v Acting
v Prompting (critical to us!)
v Wardrobe management
v Stage management, set design or props
v Lighting and sound
v Admin eg venue booking, poster & ticket production
v Marketing & ticket sales
v Or anything else we’ve forgotten!

Please get in touch with us either by email on fionac1@mac.com or call us on 0208 7401148.
