Fulham Man Feared Dead in Traffic Collision


Police appeal for witnesses to fatal accident

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal traffic collision close to North End Road.

Police were called to Star Road in W14 at about 5.20pm on Saturday, June 27 to reports of a serious traffic collision involving a motorcycle and car.

On arrival, police and London Ambulance Service discovered the motorcyclist suffering from multiple injuries.

He was taken to Charing Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Officers believe they know his identity, a 28-year-old man from Fulham, and have informed next of kin. However they are still awaiting formal identification.

Sgt Pete Mosdell from the Collision Investigation Unit based at Hampton Traffic Garage said:
" Star Road, where the collision occurred, is a quiet residential street, however it leads into the busy North End Road.

" It was a hot sunny day and a number of people were enjoying a drink in the Old Oak Public House which is on the corner of North End Road and Star Road.

" Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with information is asked to call the witness appeal line on 020 8941 9011."
