Artists at Home returns to west London this summer (19th to 21st June 2026), bringing together a strong mix of established and emerging artists across Chiswick, Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush. Homes and studios will once again open their doors, transforming everyday spaces into informal galleries where visitors can meet artists, see new work, and buy directly.
This year’s event features 89 artists across 62 studios , reflecting the depth and range of creativity in west London. Among the featured artists are Mary West and Gillian Brett , both of whom have had particularly busy and successful years, continuing to build momentum with new work and exhibitions.
There are also 10 new artists joining Artists at Home for the first time. These include ceramic artist Karen Young , whose work explores texture and abstract sculptural forms, often enhanced with lustres and metallic leaf; painter Jan Anil , creating expressive landscapes and seascapes using oils and inks; and contemporary jeweller Catherine Beckett , known for her layered, textural pieces.
“Each year we see new energy coming into the event alongside artists who have been part of it for many years,” says Kathryn Davey, Chair of the Artists at Home committee. “That mix keeps it fresh and relevant, and reflects the strength of the creative community across west London. It’s an opportunity for people to experience art in a direct and accessible way.”

“Artists at Home is one of those events that really reflects the character of west London,” adds John Horton of sponsors Horton and Garton. “You’re not walking into a formal gallery—you’re stepping into people’s homes and studios, seeing where the work actually happens. That direct connection between artist and visitor is what makes it stand out, and it’s something worth supporting.”
Artists at Home remains one of London’s longest-running open studio events, offering a direct connection between artists and the public. It’s a chance to experience work in the place it’s made, have conversations that don’t happen in formal gallery settings, and support artists within the local community.
Whether you’re looking to buy, browse, or simply spend time around good work, the open studios weekend is a straightforward and enjoyable way to engage with art across west London.
