Introducing the Brook Green Veterinary Practice

A friendly, local veterinary service at a reasonable price

Introducing The Brook Green Veterinary Practice at 75 Masbro Road W14.

We say introducing because in some ways it still feels very new!

We completed renovations in the spring and officially opened our doors to the brand new practice at the end of April this year. Since then, we have been delighted to meet such a large number of new clients registering their pets with us every day. We treat all household pets, and our experienced vets enjoy a challenge!

The vision for The Brook Green Veterinary Practice was to establish a friendly, modern and professional practice to serve the immediate community and surrounding areas. Having worked in high quality practices before, the staff knew that by providing the best professional care in a modern and newly equipped environment we would be able to deliver the ultimate in advice and treatment.

Our philosophy is to provide what we believe to be the two vital ingredients in professional care. Firstly, a strong emphasis on preventative care – working with you and your pets to protect and maintain good health. Secondly, to be suitably equipped and capable of delivering routine or emergency treatment, if and when it is needed. We provide these services at a fair and reasonable price.

When a new pet is registered with The Brook Green Veterinary Practice, a priority for us is to establish an understanding of their health background. This, for us, is as much about the pet’s history with you as it is about their clinical history. Your pet will then receive a thorough examination by one of our vets. From there, we build the plan best suited to maintaining their good health.

So what do we mean by preventative care at Brook Green?

Preventative care is ensuring that your pet is protected from diseases, viruses and parasites which are common to their species and which, if infected, would make them unwell. However we know that not all animals require all their vaccinations every years and we work with you to provide a suitable vaccination programme for each individual pet.

Less serious, but still distressing, is infection through fleas and worms. We will prescribe an appropriate treatment and prevention routine best suited to your pet’s age and condition.

If you have a new puppy or kitten we will provide you with the necessary first courses for vaccination and also plan with you their medical and social development through those early months. How you integrate and support your pet in this formative period determines their long term health and well-being so this time for them, you and the vet is particularly important.

Maintaining good health

As pets progress through their key life stages, they require observation and attention to maintain good health. At The Brook Green Veterinary Practice we have developed a range of clinics and initiatives to match their ages and likely requirements for treatment.

For example:

- Puppy and Kitten starter packs

- Dietary and exercise plans specific to your pet

- Free dental checks

- Senior pet care checks and advice

Starting from October, our new veterinary nurse brings to us her experience and expertise in canine behavioural conditions and problems and in particular, puppy training.

Treatment

During their lives, pets may require treatment and some anaesthesia. At The Brook Green Veterinary Practice we are able to undertake a full range of operations, from basic surgery such as spaying and neutering, through to more complex procedures. In each instance, we work closely with owners to ensure that the best possible care, treatment and advice are given both pre and post operation. All these procedures are carried out in-house and animals are never transported to any other site. We welcome visitors would like to have a look at our operating facilities downstairs - many of you already have!

Equipment

With the advantage of starting with an empty, purposely renovated building, we have had the opportunity to furnish it with the latest equipment and services. The clinic is supported by a state-of-the-art, in-house laboratory, ultrasound unit, X-ray unit, ECG, high speed dental drill, scaler and polisher, and a fully equipped surgical theatre and animal hospital. If you would like to know more about these services, please ask when you visit the practice.

In addition to the high standards we have adopted in clinical care, we also have incorporated a boarding cattery and a full pet grooming service. We also have a pet food ordering service where standard and prescription diets are available from the practice. If we need to order items in, they are delivered to us for pick-up within 12 hours.

Call or visit us

We see pets by appointment to ensure that the appropriate time, advice and treatment is provided for everyone, and so you do not have to wait to be seen. If you would like to call and see us prior to registering, please telephone us on 020 7603 5150. You can visit our website for more information at www.brookgreenvets.co.uk .

Once again, we would be delighted to welcome you as a client and believe that we would be able to meet your expectations of service and provide your pet with the best possible continuing health care.
