Local MP Holds Employment Skills Fair on Friday

Jobseekers invited to reserve a place at Loftus Road

Hammersmith MP Andy Slaughter is holding an Employment Skills Fair this Friday, October 11 from 11am - 2pm at
Queen’s Park Rangers Football Club, Loftus Road Stadium in
South Africa Road, 
 
Andy says: " The current employment climate is tough for young people and there is a lot of competition for good jobs.  Having the right skills when applying is vital.
 
" I am trying to help young people in Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush compete in the job market and as part of this I am inviting you to an event to help give you the confidence and skills to use in your job search.
 
" Come and meet experts who can help you find a job and show you how to make the most of your skills when you apply. You can also practise your interviewing skills and get advice about your CV." 
 
Programme:

• 11.00   Arrive, refreshments, introduction from Andy Slaughter MP
• 11.30   Main presentation from Tina Rycroft of the Plus Team
• 12.30   Break for sandwiches
• 13.00   Small group sessions with advisors from Job Centre Plus and the National Careers Service.

 

 

 

This event is free and refreshments will be served.  If you would like to attend, or know of someone who would benefit from this event, please e-mail andy@andyslaughter.com to reserve a place. 

 

Space is limited so it is very important that you register via e-mail. 

The event is aimed at 18 to 24 year olds, but older people can also attend.
