Workof Janet Moussavi and Elizabeth Goldsmith on show this week

Greyhound Road's Apothecary Gallery is hosting an exhibition of paintings and pottery by Janet Moussavi and Elizabeth Goldsmith which is open daily until 26 January.

Janet Moussavi is an enthusiastic amateur painter of flowers, fruits and people. She enjoyed drawing from an early age, took A level art and attended life drawing classes at both Goldsmith College and West Dean College. She then went on to study portraiture at Heatherley School of Fine Art and the Wye Valley Arts Centre. Janet loves colour and has dabbled in fauvism. Until recently she lived in Hammersmith and took part in the annual Artists at Home event.

Ceramic by Elizabeth Goldsmith

Elizabeth Goldsmith loves nature, colour, form and contrast. She studied painting at Camberwell School of Art and has worked as both a gardener and garden designer. With her still lives and flower paintings she aims to capture the ephemeral seasonal beauty of the world around us. Having recently discovered ceramics, she enjoys exploring the use of shapes and glazes within this new medium.
