Augustinian Centre Hosts Talk by Irish Author Tony Horgan


Discussing new book The Lark in the Bower Sad Songs

The Augustinian Centre, at the back of St Augustine's Church in Fulham Palace Road, is hosting a talk by Tony Horgan, author of The Lark in the Bower Sad Songs on Friday January 10 at 7pm.

Tony will be talking about his new book, which is a social history and autobiography of an Irish boy growing up in Killarney, County Kerry in the hungry 1930s who eventually boarded the cattle boat from Dun Laoghaire to England.

Everyone is invited and entrance is free. Copies of The Lark in the Bower Sad Song, which is normally available through Amazon and other book sellers for £8.99, will be for sale at the event for £7.

The Augustinian Centre is at 55 Fulham Palace Road, W6, close to Hammersmith Broadway.
