Do You Have a Place in Your Heart to an Undateable?

Battersea shows off long stay residents looking for love on Valentine's Day

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is celebrating St Valentine's Day by highlighting some residents they have dubbed their undateables.

As the home says, looking for love can be difficult, especially when there’s something unusual about you and it invites people to meet some residents who have been waiting for a long time to meet their perfect match.

They include Baloo, a four year-old Shar-Pei, who is described as a sweet boy who will make the perfect family pet for someone who doesn't judge a book by its cover.

There is also handsome Geoffrey, a very energetic Dalmatian who is looking for a very special owner who will understand is needs and be able to use sign language as he is completely deaf.

Cat lovers meanwhile are invited to meet Sandy, a shy older gentleman who gets nervous in new situation and needs someone who can offer him a calm and gentle approach.

Or if you have room in your heart for two, Ollie, pictured right, and his committed companion Susie are two ten year-olds abandoned by their previous owner who deserve to spend their twilight years living in luxury.

For more about these and other pets at Battersea looking for new homes, visit the website or call 0843 509 4444. The home is open for visits this weekend from 10.30am till 5pm, with last admission at 4pm.
