Scooter rider dies after collision with lorry
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal accident involving a scooter rider on the Shepherd's Bush road.
At approximately 0820 on 14th December a scooter travelling north was in contact with a lorry as it moved off from traffic lights into Shepherd's Bush Green. The rider of the scooter fell under the rear wheels of the lorry.
The injured person was taken to New Charing Cross Hospital where he died
Although police believe they know the identity of the 40-year-old rider, details are not being released until next of kin have been informed.
Police are anxious to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and ask that anyone with information who has not already spoken with police at the scene contact the Collision Investigation Unit on their dedicated witness line 020 8941 9011.
