Police are appealing for witnesses to a Road Traffic Collision which occurred at approx 02:00 on Friday 30/9/05 in Goldhawk Road, W12.
A car travelling from Shepherds Bush towards Acton was in collision with a woman as she was crossing the road outside Goldhawk Road Tube Station.
The London Ambulance Service attended and the woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to New Charing Cross Hospital, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police believe they know the identity of the deceased but are awaiting formal identification. The woman leaves a partner and a young son.
A post-mortem is yet to be arranged. An inquest will open and adjourn in due course.
Police wish to trace the car, which failed to stop at the scene. It is described as a small hatchback, dark in colour, and it may have been damaged in the collision.
Officers from the South West London Collision Investigation Unit are currently investigating.
