During London Sustainability Weeks - 3rd to 17th June 2007
London Sustainability Weeks: 3–17 June is London’s greenest festival, celebrating projects and organisations that are making a real contribution to creating a more sustainable capital.
London Sustainability Weeks provides London’s residents, workers and visitors, of all ages, backgrounds and interests, the opportunity to explore and contribute to hundreds of events, showcasing sustainable projects from major campaigns to locally based events run by residents for residents.
Events may vary hugely in their size or message, but what all have in common is that they are directly helping to make a cleaner, greener, healthier London.
Now in its fourth year London Sustainability Weeks 2007 will provide over half a million of London residents, workers, visitors and media an opportunity to discover and experience the diversity and creativity of local action and community projects that are working to make the city’s communities more sustainable.
The Love London campaign works not only with local authorities and major campaigning groups, but is unique in its commitment to promote and assist small, community based, initiatives – with a particular emphasis on those which are run by and for residents in areas of high social and economic depravation.
Local Authorities are also now actively involved. Most of London's 32 local authorities work with community groups to organise events in their own areas.

Loris Garden Open Day
Annual open day with plants for sale, children's activities, music, refreshments and other entertainment. Tours of the Eco Shed will be available. Date 9th June between 2.00pm and 4.30pm at Loris Road Community Gardens. Email info@hcga.org.uk or see www.hcga.org.uk
GREENFEST West London
This year the Greenfest will take place in a lovely setting beside the Thames in Hammersmith. The aim of the Greenfest is to allow environmental and community groups to meet the public, with attractive and engaging stalls. We also aim to promote greener travel options and a more planet-friendly and aware lifestyle. And to provide a really enjoyable event where visitors can feel they are participating.
The music line-up includes Havana Good Time, 3 Daft Monkeys, Taxi Pata Pata.
There will be organic food, and many attractions, including Des Kay as Professor Kayos and cycle try-outs from Company of Cyclists. And things to keep kids occupied. There will also be some selected appropriate commercial stands, where you will find appropriate and hard to find things brought together for you.
The event is organised by a team of volunteers put together by hfcyclists, the local branch of the London Cycling Campaign in H&F, and with help from LBHF.
