The following closures to both tube and road are scheduled over the forthcoming weekend 6th & 7th August 2005 due to track replacement work:-
1. There will be no District Line services between Richmond / Acton Town and Earl's Court.
Replacement bus services will operate as follows:-
Service A: Between Acton Town and Hammersmith calling at Gunnersbury,Chiswick Park,Turnham Green, Ravenscourt Park and Stamford Brook.
Service B: Between Hammersmith and West Brompton calling at West Kensington.
Service C: Between Paddington and Heathrow after 2330 only.
Silverlink Metro will operate a special service between Richmond and Gunnersbury.
Passenger journey times may be increased by up to 1 hour.
2. There will be no Piccadilly Line service between Acton Town and Hyde Park Corner.
Replacement bus services will operate as per the District Line.
3. Whilst the tube is not running, work on the railway bridge over Acton Lane will also take place during this period - ACTON LANE WILL THEREFORE BE CLOSED to traffic just north of the bridge at Chiswick Park tube station for the ENTIRE WEEKEND, starting late on Friday evening until early Monday morning.
Further closures of both the two tube lines and Acton Lane are scheduled for the weekend 3rd & 4th Sep 2005.
