Some local green spaces, often not open to the public, will be accessible on 11-12 June as part of the London Square Open Gardens event.
This year an exclusive range of gardens include the collection of plants and flowers in the restored gardens at Emery Walker's House on Hammersmith Terrace. The house, on the banks of the River Thames, was home to the printer and antiquary who was a friend of textile designer William Morris. The garden of the William Morris Society behind Kelmscott House, where Morris lived in his final years will also be open to the public. The society will be selling packets of seeds that feature in his designs.
