Petros Singers are making a return to in-person performance with a light-hearted programme of madrigals, popular song and jazz entitle ‘Here Comes the Summer’.

John Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals are flanked by choral music from before and after – Schubert to The Beatles – every item imbued with the joy and hope of the Simmer season.

The choral concert will be directed by Richard Bannan, with Oliver Lallemant on jazz piano at St Peter's Church, Black Lion Lane, Hammersmith on Saturday 3 July.

Richard Bannan is a baritone, conductor and teacher. He sings with many of the country’s leading vocal ensembles, including the Choir of St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, where he is a Lay Clerk.

Oliver Lallemant is Organist and Assistant Director of Music at Holy Trinity Sloane Square and directs several choirs in Chelsea.

There will be two hour long performances at 6.30pm and 8.30pm - social distancing will substantially reduce available space, hence the repeat.

Tickets cost £12, £10 for concessions or £5 to under 28s with under 6s going free. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

Some may be available on the day but card purchases are preferred.

All audience seating – the majority of which is located in the gallery – will be sold and allocated to single households/bubbles to ensure social distancing. In the event of cancellation due to government advice, a full refund will be offered.

Pimm’s and soft drinks will be available before each recital – served from 5:30 to 5:50pm and 8:00 to 8:20pm.

The event is sponsored by local estate agent Horton & Garton.

Petros Singers is a well-regarded auditioned chamber choir with a reputation for high-quality singing and innovative programmes. They perform a wide ranging and diverse repertoire and collaborate with top-class orchestras and soloists in West and Central London.
