Pram walk aims to raise money for babies without mothers

Pushy Mums, an organisation that raises money for children who have lost their mothers through illness, will be pounding the local streets on Saturday 25th March 2006.

Chancellor of the Exchequor, Gordon Brown, has taken time out of his budget planning to send a message of support. 

The message reads "Gordon Brown sends his best wishes to everyone participating in the 2006 walks.  Mr Brown is himself an activist for Make Poverty History and says that the Pushymums walks taking place this year help to send a powerful message about our commitment to our wider community. By your actions you are showing that everyone really can make a difference"

The group will be meeting near the cafe in Ravenscourt Park at 11.00am with the Fulham Brass Band playing as they set off.

The route will take the path along the river and will end up in Chiswick House grounds near the cafe there.

All parents and babies and children are welcome, as are grandparents, friends and dogs - not forgetting bikes, trikes and scooters!

A £3 minimum “entry fee” is asked for and will get you a balloon, route map and information sheet.

Pushy Mums hope to raise awareness of and money for the millions of Aids orphans in Africa therefore 100% of monies raised will be donated to such registered charities.

Parents should note that they are responsible for the safety of their own children.
