Pushy Mums Take To The Streets

To raise money for children who have lost their mothers through illness

Pushy Mums, an organisation that raises money for children who have lost their mothers through illness, will will be pushing their prams from Ravenscourt Park to the river and back on Sunday 25th March.

One week on from Mother's day, The Pushy Mums walk aims to raise money as well as awareness for the 11 million AIDS orphans in Africa. Organisers would like as many local mums as possible to join them.

The £5 per adult entry fee includes a route map and fact sheet as well as balloons for the children. “We are hoping for a good turnout of dads and older children as well as mums pushing babies. Children on trikes and scooters are also welcome. It will be a fun way to remember a very serious issue in the world today”, said Helen Webb, local organiser of www.pushymums.org

“I have often heard people talk about pushy Chiswick mums and thought we could put that to good use”, she added with a smile. “All monies raised will be donated to Save the Children AIDS orphans projects”.

Anyone interested in joining the hour-long, child’s paced walk should meet at 11am on Sunday 25th March near the café in Ravenscourt Park or visit www.pushymums.org for more information. The walk will go ahead whatever the weather. It finishes back at Ravenscourt Park Café, where hot drinks and snacks are available
