Jack Bovill is UKIP's Candidate in Hammersmith

One of six standing in our constituency on Thursday

Jack Bovill says he has lived in Earl’s Court, Kensington for the last 45 years.

Jack started work in a bank in the City and after six years moved on to a new career purchasing buildings for various schools. Wishing to expand his learning he also owned a jewellery shop, several yacht chandleries and on the fall of the Berlin Wall, started a computer and printer exchange in Fulham.

Since retiring in 2000, he has been Chair of Governors for the local Adult Education College, the Kensington and Chelsea College, as well as Chair of the Gatehouse School near Victoria Park, East London.  He was also Chair of the English Spelling Society for years.

He was nominated for the General Election in 1979 and stood in the General Election in 2005. Up to now Jack has always stood as an Independent, but this time he is standing for UKIP.

He says: " I see UKIP as the only reasonable party to back, standing apart from the problems that seem to have become endemic in the Tweedle Dum, Tweedle Dee parties where promises are not kept and the interest of the people of the United Kingdom and of the country come second to the self-interest of MPs and their connected parties.

" A land tax and an internet tax for all off-shore scallywags will eliminate the deficit and stop the welfare cuts and save the Triple Lock and release Buy-To-Leave unoccupied properties for letting.

" I am delighted to have received this nomination from UKIP. Mrs May needs committed Brexiters."
