Architects acting on behalf of St George, the developer which recently bought the vacant land on Hammersmith Embankment, is inviting local people to take part in a Community Planning Weekend on November 26 and 27.

St George, part of the giant Berkeley Group, is the company behind a number of huge riverside developments, including Imperial Wharf on the other end of Fulham's riverside and Battersea Reach by Wandsworth Bridge.

The local community is invited to the Vision for Hammersmith Embankment Community Planning Weekend on Friday November 26 from 2pm till 7pm and Saturday 27 from 11am till 3.30pm.

At the Community Planning Weekend participants will have the chance to take part in topic workshops, walkabouts and hands-on planning groups to explore local and site specific issues and possible solutions. People are welcome to pop in for a short while, a few hours or for one or both days if they can. Team members will be on hand to explain what’s happening.

Following the Community Planning Weekend the design team, led by architects John Thompson and Partners will analyse and summarise the outcomes and develop an illustrated Vision and indicative masterplan which will be reported back to the local community at 7.30pm on Wednesday December 8 at Melcombe Primary School, Colwith Road entrance, London W6.
