When you have finished editing this page don't press publish. Go to file > Publish as New Page
When naming a file try and give it a short name that is descriptive. If the item is based on a press release make the first three letters of the file name 'con' if it is and event it should be 'ev' and if it is an completely original piece of work it should be 'e'.
For items on themes likely to have been covered before e.g. crime or health, rather than using this template check out the file directory for related stories. For instance a health related story will have connhs** as a prefix. Publish your file with the next consecutive number added. This allows you to use the links to previously reported stories on this subject.
For titles make the main title about 5-8 words and sub-title a bit longer. The key thing is to try and make sure that the title stays on one line on the front page of the site. At the same time bear in mind that the first few words on a page rank highly with search engines so make titles as descriptive as possible. Also copy the title into the field above where it say 'Ealing blank story page'
Before publishing always check your fonts are consistent and do a spell check (even with press releases you haven't changed!). The font we use is Verdana size 2 (size 10 on Contribute).
