How to recycle your tree

The Council will be collecting Christmas trees from your street this year, as well as running five sites where you can drop off your old tree.

Street collections:

If you would like your christmas tree collected for recycling, please put it out for collection between the 5 and 16 of January. You can find out which day a collection will be made on your street by checking your collection day here: Christmas tree collection days

Drop-off sites:

You will also be able to drop off your Christmas tree for recycling at the following sites across the borough between 5 and 16 January 2009. 

1. Wormwood Scrubs Car park
[Entrance off Scrubs Lane, Shepherds Bush, W12 0HU]

2. Ravenscourt Park
By the football pitch [at the bottom of Ravenscourt Park (cul-de-sac), Hammersmith, W6 0TJ]

3. Loris Road Community Gardens, Hammersmith, W6 7QA

4. Fulham Palace Road Cemetery
[Outside entrance, opposite the junction of Queensmill Road SW6 6HS] next to the recycling banks

5. New Kings Road  
[On the edge of Eel Brook Common, by the recycling banks.
Opposite the junction of Perrymead Street SW6 4SJ]

The trees are shredded and used for compost or put on the flower beds in the local parks.
