Police arrest three men and a woman
Police have supplied more details about the fatal stabbing in Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush in the early hours of Wednesday June 9.
They say the man who was killed was 28, not 29 as stated earlier and they believe they know his identity. His next of kin have been informed.
Three men, aged 57, 37 and 31, and one woman aged 42 have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
The police say: " A murder investigation is under way following the death of a man in Shepherds Bush this
morning.
" We believe the victim had been at a near by address in Askew Road, W12 when he was stabbed. He
appears to have made his way out into the street where he has collapsed.
" He was found in the
street at 1am on Wednesday June 9 by a member of the public who contacted the London Ambulance Service.
" The victim, a 28 year old male, was taken by ambulance to a west London hospital where life was
pronounced extinct shortly after arrival."
There were unconfirmed reports of an altercation taking place in the area before the stabbing.
No weapons have so far been found.
A post-mortem will take place tomorrow at Fulham mortuary and an inquest will be opened in due course.
Many local people witnessed the aftermath of the incident. The police are not giving much away at all other than there was a murder at around 1am this morning and that the area will be closed off for most of the day."
