Hammersmith & Fulham Council has released CCTV images as part of an appeal to identify a group of vandals who sprayed graffiti along King Street and Uxbridge Road, leaving shopfronts covered in tags and causing significant damage.
The incidents took place on Tuesday 24 March, when the council’s CCTV network captured a group of youths walking along Uxbridge Road in Shepherds Bush. One of them, carrying a bag, was seen stopping to spray paint on a shop wall.
Later the same evening, four more youths were recorded moving along King Street in Hammersmith, tagging shopfronts from JD Sports to the new Civic Campus development shortly before 11pm.
The footage shows the group taking turns to spray their tags, leaving a trail of graffiti across the busy high street. The council’s enforcement team has since removed the damage, but officers are now working with the Metropolitan Police to identify the offenders and pursue prosecution, with the aim of making those responsible pay for the clean-up.

H&F Council said it takes a zero-tolerance approach to graffiti and will continue to remove it immediately to protect local businesses and public spaces. The authority is urging anyone who recognises the individuals captured on CCTV to come forward. Information can be passed anonymously to CrimeStoppers or reported by calling 0800 555 111.

The council hopes the public’s help will lead to swift identification and action against those involved.
