Oriental Lifestyle Supermarket Opens on Fulham Palace Road

Yohome, a new ‘Oriental lifestyle’ supermarket has opened in Assembly, the office complex at 77 Fulham Palace Road, south of Hammersmith Broadway.
This site was formerly home to upmarket foodstore Eat17 until it closed earlier this year.
Yohome, the first West London branch in a small chain with five stores already open further east, offers specialised Oriental foods and products, with daily imports from China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
On its shelves are snacks, groceries, home and kitchenwares, stationery and personal care products, as well as bubble tea and Japanese patisserie.
On its Facebook page, the supermarket says to local foodies, “We are here and looking forward to meeting every one of you and sharing the good life together.”
Yohome joins a range of shops and restaurants offering Asian food and cuisines on this stretch of Fulham Palace Road, including an existing Chinese supermarket, Milifortune and long established Chinese takeaway Imperial Dragon.

At 82 Fulham Palace Road, another newcomer, Pad Thai Story is about to launch on the site which formerly housed Biryani Pot. Again, it is part of a small chain with two restaurants open in Wandsworth and Battersea, and promises to serve Pad Thai - one of Thailand’s national dishes - with other authentic dishes including green and panang curries.
It will compete with two existing Thai restaurants, New Bangkok at 58 Fulham Palace Road and Reun Tahi & E-Prink, further south at 100.

Fans of sushi and sashimi are also catered for, with Japanese restaurant Kenta completing the line-up at 106 Fulham Palace Road.
